Sandy Easdale Speaks Out

Oh dear, that interview and the blog come across to me as cringeworthy.

Our great Ibrox traditions of board member decorum appears to have gone out the window.

Whyte was a clown. We know that. Why stoop to his level with the throwing down the stairs nonsense ?

Would be much happier if he had just released a statement stating that our lawyers would deal with Whyte on this if necessary.

After the grief and misery Whyte has put every last one of us through the last few years, getting bounced down the marble staircase would seem like getting off lightly, maybe lacking in decorum but not many would disagree with the action suggested, fair play Sandy.

Fuck sake. doh

6 pages and half of them full of wanks claiming mock offense to a comment by Sandy Easdale. (who else do we know who plays that card)

Personally, I'd like to hear his account of how he would get medieval on Paul Murray, Liewell, TLB, Doncaster, Spears etc etc etc

Write a book Sandy

Easdale should be advising that our lawyers will make sure Whyte will be keeping well away from Ibrox, and not play to the galleries with pointless rhetoric and (misguided) bravado..

You really think Easdale (or anyone else) needs an injunction to keep Whyte away from Ibrox ?:lol::lol:

Furthermore, do you really believe that any of us, on here, expect that we will ever see Whytes arse being flung down the marble staircase by an enraged Easdale ?:lol:

You lot can't resist a pop at a director no matter what, or how foolish it makes you look. (And that's a lot)

I hope you are a tim as it would be worse coming from a bear. We expect such daftness from them.

Keeping whyte away from Ibrox is not meant as physically.

Who are "you lot"

You talk as much meaningless garbage.

Why do you hope I am a tim ?

Cos it is embarrassing watching our own doing the tims work for them.

Where did I do a Tim's work ?

I disagreed with our director making a rhetorical threat about throwing someone down stairs that came across to me as crass.

Is everyone you disagree with a tim as in "your lot".

I'm glad you figured out that point as I was at total lose what the fuck he was on about

Merlin's quick response to the sensitive souls within our support:

DEFENDING THE RANGERS

My piece earlier on Sandy Easdale’s threat to throw Craig Whyte down the marble staircase at Ibrox has been met with approval by many Gers fans.

It’s good to know the Jock Wallace spirit lives on at Ibrox. Big Jock was not a man to suffer fools gladly and many bluenoses want this kind of attitude in the custodians of the club.

However, there have been some fainthearts who have remarked that Sandy Easdale’s remarks are not befitting a Rangers director. Presumably the same people who always complain about dignified silence.

These people seem to be so negative towards the board that they will use anything to disparage the directors of Rangers.

So let me be specific. Sandy Easdale’s remarks were not any kind of neddish threat to inflict violence on Craig Whyte. They were said to emphasise Easdale’s determination to protect the club from people like Craig Whyte who are looking to harm it.

It was definitely said tongue-in-cheek i.e. in a conversation where Sandy Easdale reiterated that Craig Whyte would not be welcome at Ibrox and would be escorted off the premises, even, as Sandy said, if he had to throw him down the marble staircase himself.

It wasn’t a sinister threat and any attempt to convey it as such is mischief-making of the lowest degree.

As I said, most Rangers fans that I have seen responding to it are appreciative of the proprietorial manner in which Sandy Easdale is defending the club. In short, it shows leadership and a willingness to confront anyone who would damage RFC.

I certainly want that from the men who wear the blazers at Ibrox and I think most Gers fans feel the same.

Those fans who think otherwise but who then whine about dignified silence are welcome to tell us how they would go about hitting back against the club’s detractors.

Sandy Easdale is a cool customer and this has been a great attribute in his business life. If he loses his cool at those who want to hurt the Rangers then it only shows the passion he has for the club – a passion shared by thousands of bluenoses.

I back the Easdales on this blog because I think they are doing a good job in shaping Rangers into a formidable force once more. They have put together an impressive board which has silenced critics and is working hard on making the club a lean, mean fighting machine.

That process involves painful cost-cutting and that doesn’t suit everybody. Add to this the inescapable fact that the board is working in the face of opposition from Rangers-haters in Scottish football and the media, as well as hostility from a vocal minority in the club’s own support base.

Being aware of where Sandy Easdale wants to take Rangers, I am behind him all the way – even although I might not agree with everything the board does.

More importantly, those who have serious money invested in Rangers are more than comfortable with Sandy Easdale and the team he has put together.

As for those timid wee souls that are scared that wee Craig might get hurt if he wanders up the staircase on Edmiston Drive, they can always hand in some pillows to put at the bottom of the stairs.

He didn't say you were a tim, he said he hoped you were.

I can see Guardians point.

Its easier to understand why a tim would constantly attack aspects of the club with mock offense, in an attempt to destabilize the board and prevent its rebuilding but not so easy to work out the reason for it coming from a Bear.

Because Easdale's statement is cringeworthy. I set our standards by those of the great director/managers like Waddell, even Struth. Could you imagine them making daft quotes like that ?

I have to agree. The marble stair case comment is utterly cringeworthy. Wholly embarrassing.

Awww. I feel your pain.

Would you like a fleecy blanket and a lie down?

Where the fuck have you been for the last 2 years? We're at war on a dozen different fronts and you are hurt by a nothing comment like this?

I think the point most are missing here is that Mr Easdale was not talking to the press but a fellow Bear, it's the sort of comment any Bear would use regarding Whyte, actually it's pretty tame in that context. I'm sure if he'd been talking to the MSM he'd have used different language.
