The wee campaign by Garth Crooks (Ex Spurs) to convince everybody that Football clubs are Inherently racist by not Employing black people in management was blown out the water with Paul Inces Appointment at the time.

Chris Hughton is doing a job at Norwich so dispels the myth still being peddled by the likes of Crooks on the BBC where his idea of equality is flood a limited market with people based on race only.

it's attitudes like his that need challenged but given his free reign In spouting such shite he gets away with it none of his colleagues have effectively called his bluff.

Attitudes like yours. 'Probably because they've generally all been failures'? Most managers are failures and to make that comment about the very few black managers who've been appointed at clubs who aren't going to do much is just crass.

The question gets asked about there not being many black managers, you have the likes of Paul Ince who had a good start to management at MK Dons and has failed in every role since. It's about whether they're good enough or not, their colour is irrelevant. The debate also usually leads to ridiculous positive discrimination suggestions.

It's like the myth, not enough women in politics.

1. Men have historically been involved in the political arena for hundreds of years longer.

2. Maybe, just maybe the vast majority of women don't care for politics!

No point having 50% black managers who are shit keeping a white, Asian or whatever out of a job. Ffs I couldn't care less what colour, creed or sex a person is as long as their doing a good job. Positive discrimination!!

Football is too big a business these days. Clubs and fans don't give a shit what race their manager is, so long as he is good at his job.

The only reason there are not many black managers about the upper echelons of the game in Britain is simply because few, if any, have ever made the grade. Whatever the reasons behind that are, I do not know. What I do know is that if a black manager was doing a great job somewhere he'd move on to bigger and better things, just like a white manager would. Race wouldn't come into it!
