WilliamFyfe 1,438
@RFC_Official: #RANGERS SUBS: Simonsen, Cribari, Faure, Smith, Crawford, Little, Peralta http://t.co/2eKIFhfCyj #RFCvARFCWhat's the need for so many defenders on the bench. No wingers. McKay would have been a decent shout to have on the bench.
dalton 1,192
Mc Kay made the mistake of being positive when he came off the bench in games last seasonso in allys mind had to be ditchedHis exclusion pinpoints all that is wrong with this club structure mis -managementand thats just on the field. We should have a decent midfielder on the subs bench at the very minimum - it,s not funny anymore. dummiesoot 15,990
Is MacKay not on loan just now?
STEPPS BOY 73,790
Cribari,Smith,Faure on bench at home to Albion. :(
Creampuff 22,628
McKay toiled in our reserves, and isn't doing much better out on loan; no idea why our support rate him so highly. The squad is a forward short, though.
jamess 3,407
McKay is not doing well at Morton. But the main point of the thread is valid - nothing much on the bench to help change a game.
nachothelegend 1,932
Indeed a terrible bench. All defensive no attack.
weshallnotbemoved! 714
Give the u20 front line a go.
docspiderman 1,220
It shows the mindset of our manager; at home against the 4th lowest team in the spfl and he had 4 defensive outfield players on the bench. When you think about it Faure could fill in for full back or central defence so Cribari was not needed and we do not need yet another defensive midfielder/ full back in Peralta to sit on the bench. Mor3los_1 3,672
Give the u20 front line a go. We would do better with U2 in all honesty.
RatedRpoed 16
Cribari,Smith,Faure on bench at home to Albion. :( Faure should be on there as he can cover CB & FB, arguably should be starting ahead of Foster. The other 2 & Peralta shouldn't be. elephants stoned 2,994
That's to do with nearly 30 players fucking off and an illegal transfer embargo. We could have had guys like Telfer, Stoney, C.Gallacher, on the bench. Sure they are fairly untested youth and you could say it would be a pressure cooker to throw them on when we were chasing the game against Albion fucking rovers. But unless Ally expected us to be struggling and chasing the game the young lads could have got good experience and some lads thrive in that kind of pressure. I know if i wanted a sub to come on and create a chance or score a goal id rather Charlie Telfer or Callum Gallacher than Seb Faure or Arnold Peralta. BearAbroad 42
It really is indicative of Ally's obsession with shoehorning in all available "senior" players to his matchday squad at all costs. It is an unfortunate trait he has picked up from Walter, where in general younger players are not trusted unless there are no other practical alternative. He would much rather stick Steven Smith as a left winger or Moshni upfront, Faure at centre mid etc than give, in his eyes untested young players a chance to shine
