1st_Jan_1994 4,868
Not really no. Won before a ball was kicked.Same with us to be fair
ClydebankBearWATP 877
Who said it was a "great achievement"? It is an achievement though. The stats speak for themselves. We can't play in the top division/Europe but we have achieved what we set out to do. Certainly with less points dropped than most of us guessed we would at the start of the season. Tell me.... what was your reaction at the final whistle on Wednesday night? Maybe we can learn from your mastery of celebratory etiquette.A cheer and a round of applause and a well done that's all
Bertent 2,081
Daft question, of course its not on par with our normal achievements but it is another significant stage overcome on our journey back to the top. A few gentlemanly hand shakes and a man hug for those of a more tactile disposition ad then move on.

gmcf 34,090
Of course we should. We've achieved what we set out to do at the start of the season. I'd also put the Ramsdens Cup in that category. The Scottish a Cup . . . . Now that would be something extraordinary !
Bighouse 1,012
The fans should get plaudits for turning up in their numbers at such a low level of football. The team are doing whats expected of them. Winning. Long may it continue
Rfc#1. 1,877
Of course they should, just as they would've deserved pelters for not winning League 1.

ClydebankBearWATP 877
Cheer, applause and a well done? Sounds like a treble to me... Fingers crossed.I've just got no great enthusiasm for.it just now tbh mate, alot stems from the fact we had the chance to completely revolutionise the clubs way of doing things and we've went down the old shitey route. After half the first season the novelty of "the journey back" wore off for me, we've won these leagues before a ball has been kicked and.the competition is basically non existent, mix that in with the shite football and it's just crushing my.enthusiasm.I'm hoping next season with a bit more competition in the league it will get better but something needs to change with the management for me.I need the proper competition between teams to really enjoy us winning. tannerall 25,935
Of course. And most of the plaudits should be coming from our own fans.Any success our current fans have enjoyed before our recent troubles was built on over a hundred years of success and improvement. The current successes are coming very quickly after a short period where we came close to being destroyed and were far removed from the lofty position we were use to.Can we not then argue that our current success is relatively more substantial and therefore more worth celebrating than those we had just before our recent troubles ?Perhaps our younger fans have been spoilt by assuming that the successes before our troubles were just what happened , and not because of our great tradition and endeavour.Personally, I feel they have been spoiled by that success and dont really appreciate the distance we have already travelled in just 20 months. Jimfanciesthedude 24,496
We laugh at the tims for celebrating a foregone conclusion, so celebrating our own is daftRaise a toast to it, say well done and that's it, anymore is taking the piss tbh

It's a long, boring journey and we all feel the pain but being dour faced and constantly moaning only makes it seem longer and feel sorer. We are here for the long term. The last few years are but a hiccup in our great Clubs' history. Patience!

We should always strive to improve on the pitch, off it and as a support too. I think we could take a huge step forwards next season on the first time of asking. Be eligible for Europe soon too.... back to where we belong. Takes time though. Patience!
