4-5-1???? FFS! To get the best out of daly he needs a partner or at least wingers playing off him....if we set up more 4-3-3 then it could work....

It's pretty obvious Law is going to be playing in a more attacking midfield role with Hutton and Black infront of him. I'm happy with the line-up and glad Gallagher's starting.

Looking forward to this tonight, hoping the youngsters can get in around the box to support Daly & having Clark and Sheils on the bench should allow us to make attacking changes to the shape if needed.

Mon the Gers. I`m guessing: 4-0 / Aird 1st goal(he`s got to get one on target eventually) :D

A meant the way we are lined up not actually who's playing.

One up front..

ALLY MCCOIST will hand Calum Gallagher his first senior start in tonight’s Scottish Cup quarter final replay against Albion Rovers at New Douglas Park.

The talented youngster scored Rangers’ second goal in his side’s 2-0 victory over Dunfermline on Saturday having replaced Stevie Smith in the 72nd minute.

Gallagher will again feature on the right side of midfield while Kyle Hutton will be utilised in the holding role in front of the defence.

Hutton made a welcome return to first-team action against the Pars and he looked sharp despite missing so much of this season through injury.

As expected the experienced trio of Lee Wallace, Nicky Law and Jon Daly are also back in Ally McCoist’s side after they were rested at the weekend.

With Cammy Bell in goals, Wallace takes up his usual left back berth with McCulloch joining Bilel Mohsni at centre half and Richard Foster on the right.

In front of them is a midfield consisting of Gallagher on the right, Ian Black, Hutton and Law through the middle and Fraser Aird on the left.

They will be asked to provide plenty of service to lone striker Jon Daly who will be hoping to get the goals that take his side through to the semis this evening.

hutton starting cause he is being given a.chance to win a mew contract?

Perhaps but the league games would have done for that. I think Ally wants to put him in to strengthen the midfield, with Macleod out there's not many first team players to go there but id of rathered another striker like Clark up front or Gallagher and Shiels to take his place on the wing if need be.
