Police send fan home.. already.

Recommended Posts

Police have got "spotters" on all trains running into Edinburgh today, and one unlucky Rangers fan has already been removed from the train and told he won't be allowed to attend this afternoon's game.

He was removed from the train for alleged "sectarian singing"

Individual stupidity if true.

We know the police are out to ruin peoples day so why play into their hands?

To be fair; If you're on a train with a bunch of Rangers fans, and don't see any high-vis vests or police hats cutting about, you'd probably think you're in good company and can get away with it - And wouldn't expect the train to be boarded at the next station by coppers removing you from the train.

Agreed but at the same time why put yourself in the position to be huckled given the recent public statements from salmonds stormtroopers.

No matter what happens today the hate filled bloggists are sitting keyboards ready to pounce on anything negative today.

Would it not be a lot smarter to stick to Rangers songs?

I've just got the feeling that one PC Plod is going to push a fan too far today, and it's going to look bad for us.

The Billy Boys - A Rangers song, considered sectarian.

Super Rangers - A Rangers song, considered sectarian.

The Sash - An adopted Rangers song (for many many years), considered Sectarian.

No Surrender - A Rangers song, considered sectarian.

So they probably were singing Rangers songs.

The Sash is not sectarian.

Stick your head in the sand if you like about the law as it stands. Anyone going on public transport singing what is deemed sectarian is an idiot.

Stick to real Rangers songs, we have plenty.

I feel the same mate, its a sad state of affairs.

The poster on here who has the picture of the imperial stormtrooper with the slogan "you are guilty of supporting your team" strikes a chord.

Spot on, unfortunately we have a lot of clueless wee fannies that follow us and drag our name through the mud. sad thing is the police have probably done us a favour stopping people like that getting to edinburgh before they can do any real damage to our reputation and give pricks like phil goobledick and others plenty to write about.

To be honest in this country it's more like; "You're guilty of supporting Rangers, come with us."

The first two are considered sectarian because there are sectarian terms in it. The last two aren't.
