OlegKuznetsov 10,816
Of course, we're just being paranoid. Of course, we're clutching at straws. This season's payments and the difference from last season under the SPL.Premiership1 £2,405,000 (-£315,000)2 £1,718,000 (-£682,000)3 £1,460,000 (-£60,000)4 £1,289,000 (-£71,000)5 £1,203,000 (-£77,000)6 £1,117,000 (-£83,000)7 £1,057,000 (-£63,000)8 £1,005,000 (-£35,000)9 £988,000 (+£28,000)10 £902,000 (+£22,000)11 £816,000 (+£16,000)12 £730,000 (+£10,000)Championship13 £387,000 (+£319,000)14 £344,000 (+£277,000)15 £301,000 (+£235,000)16 £258,000 (+£193,000)17 £241,000 (+£177,000)18 £189,000 (+£121,000)19 £172,000 (+£111,000)20 £155,000 (+£95,000)21 £137,000 (+£78,000)22 £120,000 (+£63,000)23 £103,000 (+£47,000)24 £86,000 (+£31,000)Can we assume that the powers that be are happy to support and sustain a lack of competition to perpetuate an imbalance? Were they not aiming for a "fairer and more equitable" distribution of wealth? To be fair, they've managed that for almost everyone, .......except second place. We cannot move on, forgive and forget when others continue to perpetrate huge wrongs against our Club.Never forgive. JCDBigBear 9,229
Remind me of the figures for the other 2 divisions please (if you have that info).
NixonRFC 902
Since the Championship only had 10 clubs I assume that we are the 23rd club then and will earn £103,000?For the record I can totally see why the then SPL clubs made this deal, 2nd place in the league clearly take the biggest hit but in the minds eye of the then SPL clubs that 2nd place long term will either be occupied by us or the Tims, it also gives them far more protection should they have a bad season and end up relegated. Adoniram 1,919
Without a sponsor for the SPFL where are they getting the money to pay all the clubs? From TV alone?
NixonRFC 902
Without a sponsor for the SPFL where are they getting the money to pay all the clubs? From TV alone?Sponsorship is overrated in Scotland, its barely pennies they've been getting for years, all monies paid is mainly from TV money mate
thebluedoo 2,651
Without a sponsor for the SPFL where are they getting the money to pay all the clubs? From TV alone? My own take is, this was all pushed through in order to avoid playing the SFL 1 M per season in order to show our games on Sky and especially BT, IMO they are slimey bastards, they acted like spoiled brats, once they had what they wanted, us out the picture, then they realised that was a grave error, in thier quest for financial gain they hadn't planned for our emergence from 2012 stronger for it
thehost 11,059
When we get rid of the rangers men we will be the top of the heap and the tims will be feeling the pain. All we need is the cabal removed.

Rickshaw77 287
The other teams in the prem are nothing more than lapdogs to liewell. Who on earth would actually vote for a reduction in prize money?Funny also how these teams that have been moaning about voting rights for years suddenly had the chance to do something about it but never. Guaranteed when Rangers are back in the prem this becomes an issue again.
