Rangers boss Ally McCoist secret wedding in New York.

RANGERS boss Ally McCoist has flown to New York to tie the knot with long term partner Vivien Ross.

McCoist and his bride-to-be jetted to the States on Thursday with a small group of family and close friends and will return home early next week.

McCoist, 52, and former events manager Ross, 38, have been together for more than a decade and have two sons, Arran, eight, and Harris, four.

It is second time around for McCoist, who married first wife Allison in 1990 before they separated 11 years later and divorced in 2004.

He met Allison, a former beauty queen, when he was a teenage striker with Sunderland and they were together for nine years before they wed.

They have three sons - Alexander, 19, and 15-year-old twins Mitchell and Argyll, but they split amid allegations of a relationship between McCoist and actress Patsy Kensit.

McCoist first met his new wife when she worked in the commercial department at Rangers and they have previously enjoyed romantic breaks in the Big Apple.

One pal said: “It’s a city that holds special memories for them both, so it made perfect sense to return for their wedding.

“It has all been very hush-hush. Family and close friends have been sworn to secrecy as Ally and Vivien wanted the ceremony to be low-key.

“Vivien has been a real rock for Ally amid the recent troubles at Rangers and, of course, they already have two sons.

“They were keen to make the ultimate commitment and everyone is delighted for them. They’re a great couple.”
