thought this was worth sharing, probably more out of hope than expectation (tu)

SunSport understands Mike Ashley is pushing for a managerial reshuffle at Ibrox which would see Ally McCoist losing his current job.

The Englishman has sent feelers out to former Rangers manager Alex McLeish and former player Stuart McCall about fronting a new management team at Ibrox. McLeish, currently manager at Belgian side Genk, would act as Director of Football with former Motherwell manager McCall taking up the role of Head Coach.

Ashley has voiced his disappointment over the club's performances despite the large wage bill held by the squad. He feels the lack of spark on the pitch will heavily affect the brand, forecasting poor merchandise sales even if they did earn promotion back to the Scottish Premiership. He has instructed Ibrox advisor Derek Llambias to get the majority of the board on side with his plan as he looks to tighten his grip further on the Scottish Championship side. Ashley hopes to relieve McCoist of managerial duties and have the board offer him a seat at the table.

Where did thIs information come from BF2 ?

"Sunsport understands", which roughly translates as "Sunsport has decided to speculate that it might be the case that......".

It's not as if Mike is going to come out and publicly refute the claims, is it?

I am far from convinced that this is even a story, NR above says it is not in the paper.

Pretty pathetic really Jim Bett sticking up for Ally as well all the old pals act.

I'm sick of this now and all these old pals coming out with carp.

It's a joke.

They should advice him to hand over.

I was a big fan of Jim Bett back in the day however since he left Rangers he has never had a good word to say about us in the media.

He now comes out with this backing McCoist garbage. Everyone knows there are no rangers fans you speak to that back the manager other than those pricks in supporters associations that have their own agenda and not that of Rangers Football Club.
