Jack The Flipper 5,936
Yeah, I wouldn't mind Davies either. He'd certainly give our players the kick up the arse that they need.Cathro would probably be a better long-term option but I'm not sure if it's a realistic one right now.Would love cathro here with felix the dof, might be unpopular but that would be my dream team. Wearethepeople72 1,859
After reading Alistair Johnstone's quotes today it looks like we won't be getting anyone in this season unfortunately.Wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. There's only a few months of the season left and we still have to identity and approach the right manager to take us forward, which isn't going to happen overnight. Then we have to take into consideration the financial side of things aswell. We are still paying McCoist and have Ashley loans to pay back aswell.
subcrawl 43
Was Dingwall the guy at the start of the Clyde phone in who kept sniffing and said we'd need £50 million? Not sure if the Davies stuff is gospel tbh, and I wouldn't want it to be. BlueAvenger 10,756
I would take McCall or Davies only until the end of the season. Surely to fuck they are better than McDowall. As for MacInnes long term, no I don't rate him. Whoever it is, no more fuckin rolling contracts / pay offs !!!!
will_1974 204
Billy Davies or Stuart McCall until the end of the season.

Bighouse 1,013
Cathro is destined for big things, he will never manage in Scotland unless its in about 25 years time.I think, all things considered, McCall is about a good as we could do for the time being
Marbles81 2
I would like Ronald/Frank De Boer or Michael/Brian Laudrup but it will probably be McInnes
bears fan 259
Andy Goram says it has to be a Rangers man, no foreigners! Brilliant!
BlueSuedeSambas 56,413
Andy Goram says it has to be a Rangers man, no foreigners! Brilliant! Also said that the board should turn to Smith for advice on who to appoint.

Johnstone Burgh 1,686
McCall had Motherwell playing an attacking 4-4-2 with proper wingers. That's something I'd like to see at Rangers. There's a reason barely any team uses 442 any more, it's shite. At any rate, we don't have the players to use this system effectively. A Gallant Pioneer 555
Gorams opinion is exactly what we don't need right now. Blinkered, clueless and no doubt tainted with the drink.
trueblueal 2,117
I would like Ronald/Frank De Boer or Michael/Brian Laudrup but it will probably be McInnesFrank and Michael are way too established to come to Scotland without an absolute fortune being thrown at them. If you like the former player thing then Gio is Feyenoord assistant and his manager isn't renewing at the end if the season. Numan also has youth coaching and scouting experience and could play a part.

Creampuff 22,630
His time at Reading wasn't great, but I still think Adkins could be a really good appointment. You suggest Adkins at least twice a week

BlueSuedeSambas 56,413
You suggest Adkins at least twice a week I think he'd be good for us, but I know he isn't going to be a candidate I was just saying in another thread there that because there is good and bad with all the supposed candidates I keep changing my mind on who I want to get the job. It's actually changing on a near daily basis at the moment.

Jack The Flipper 5,936
I don't think we'll get anyone in until the summer tbhI have that feeling as well, and I hope we're wrong. We really need to get promoted and we wont with KM in charge.
VladimirWeiss69 945
I wouldn't complain If we got any of them tbh, Preferably Ian Cathro or Derek Mcinnes. Any of them would be an improvement to what we have had to endure for the past 3-4 years. McCoist and McDowall would be lucky to get a management job at east fife never mind rangers.
