Danny 9
I swear I can see the fleas circling us.I posted this on the old board, and I feel it's time to raise it again. The following may be stating the obvious but I feel it needs told again. There are three fundamental problems with us right now:1:The chairman. Mr Murray has given us SO much over the past 20 years or so, and deserves a lot of praise for that. But in the last few seasons, the money has simply stopped, and his stewardship has been criticised on many levels.2: The manager. He's too damn inconsistent and still seems ill-equipped to deal with the SPL on a solid basis. He also signed a lot of rubbish in the summer.3: The players. Bar Barry and maybe a few others (tenuously) there are no players truly worthy of the jersey. Our squad and first team are a pale imitation of what we truly expect this club to boast.I know I've not gone into much depth here, can't really be bothered, but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this. BlueIsTheColour 35
1:The chairman. Mr Murray has given us SO much over the past 20 years or so, and deserves a lot of praise for that. But in the last few seasons, the money has simply stopped, and his stewardship has been criticised on many levels.I will take this one first. I have to agree that Murray has given us alot over the years but now he is actively searching for a way out, and that is making him care less about the playing side of the club and more about the financial security of the club. I don't like that. I think he should be trying to keep us up to the standards we expect while also trying to keep the debt down rather than solely focusing on balancing the books. You simply do not bring in a top class manager and not fund him. That is madness.2: The manager. He's too damn inconsistent and still seems ill-equipped to deal with the SPL on a solid basis. He also signed a lot of rubbish in the summer. We have all said it time and time again that the guy was not prepared for coming here despite the time he had. He bought players who would play well on the continent but not here. That is his fault. He should have been watching videos of what players succeed in our game and it is clear he didn't do nearly enough of it.He then made the mistake of thinking the squad he has was buig enough and talented enough to win the league. Mistake. Our squad is nothing but bare bones and we have a starting 11 with no quality in reserve to come in. Another mistake from the manager which he has to be held to account over. The players. Bar Barry and maybe a few others (tenuously) there are no players truly worthy of the jersey. Our squad and first team are a pale imitation of what we truly expect this club to boast.A lack of fight and spirit. A lack of communication. That sums up our players. Barry must be pulling his hair out at how much these players put in to each match. And there is one visible problem that lso goes back to the manager. There is no competition for places. Every player in that team wether it be Jeremy Clement, Charlie Adam or Kris Boyd to name a few. None of them have any fear of someone coming in and knocking them out of the team. Therefore they coast through games knowing that no matter how bad they play they will be picked time and time again and still pick up the wage packet. That is only a few of the problems at our club at the moment but they are the main ones and the ons that are really bringing us down. I only hope that all involved realise the msitakes they have made come tomorow morning and start to make attempts to fix it in January. Otherwise it could well be another year of "Champions League, you're having a laugh".
nvager 498
I agree with all the above, but there are just as many still enthralled by PLG and his CV and want to give him more time.Well he will get the remainder of the season, but where will RFC finish up?Unless PLG pulls a couple of rabbits out of his hat in January we will really struggle the rest of the way.IMO BF looks like he's had it with PLG and others in the squad. If that is correct then were in even bigger trouble.Come March we will all be singing from the same sheet IMO.

Ibroxblue 131
1. Chairman. Will any club ever spend tens of millions in the SPL again? Unlikely unless there's some mad sugar daddy around.2. Manager. He was sent tapes of all our games (plus reserve games etc) last season. His performance so far has been poor but it's still early days. B) 3. Players. Lack of funds means lower quality. Lack of confidence can look like lack of commitment. I don't think anyone, including PLG, would now believe we don't need to add to the squad - but they have to be the right players, not signings for the sake of it. loyalandtrueblue 69
IMO BF looks like he's had it with PLG and others in the squad. If that is correct then were in even bigger trouble. Barry will publicly back PLG but privately he has had enough of him and has made his feelings known to Sir David Murray and PLG.By all accounts he is not alone with his take on how the coaching and tactical aspects are well below standard at Ibrox. There is a split in the camp and the senior players are trying desperately to pull everyone together and not, as you would expect, the manager and coaching staff! And there again lies the problem!Arrogance!!Why do you honestly think that Sir David Murray stormed into the dressing room and laid down the law?Something he has never done before at Ibrox! My understanding is that by the end of the season the truth about these issues will be made public.I'm sorry but for the love of Rangers and all things Blue! PLG and his staff must go now!I would forget about the transfer market as he has no clue about players strengths or abilities!Look at the majority of his signings here!He wasn't even trusted in France to spot and buy a player! This season is finished so there would be no harm in getting in someone fresh and giving them half a season to get it right for next season! Sadly I agree here, most of us have had it with him now.NV refers to him pulling a couple of rabbits from the hat, if he does its papering over the cracks.I think he will leave before he is pushed.Murray has to back him with big money, nothing elase will suffice as we already know 4 or 5 players at present are good enough, so we need at least 5 or 6 to give us a decent side-10 to give us a squad and I dont see Min ty giving that sort of money.
