It's wishful thinking from us wanting to adopt the scouting systems of foreign teams when the UK is probably one of the hardest if not THE hardest place to sign non-eu players unless they're already top class international players. Johan knows about this as I think the Faroes may have introduced it too.In certain schools we have a "football class" as well as "music classes". This means that all the kids in these classes are carefully selected.. In the football class they will start the day with a workout and then back to your studies... then you do a couple of hours of football training then back to class. You learn about nutrition and everything that goes with being an athlete. This is still in the early stages and is yet to bear any real fruit, but things are looking positive. Our u16 national team just beat Iceland... that tells you something. Also, like in Iceland, we are trying to have the most qualified and experienced coaches coaching the YOUNGEST. They let teams from places like North Africa use their training ground and iirc send or sent a team to compete in the youth copa libertoris (sp!).As said they get access to non EU far easier than Rangers would and if we are honest it would take 20 years to replicate their system here!!
