Aye.

Guys came into Ibrox and hung up a portrait of the new pioneers without anyone knowing and then it got leaked to the papers again without any of them knowing (even though King and Murray are record lovers).

Green is the mastermind behind this, he painted it himself and put the date in his diary for when it was to go up.

Some of the stuff you read on here is beyond parody.folks hatred seems to take over all logic and they start posting utter shite.

I seriously doubt the decision to hang the painting came from the board.

It will have been something ordered under Green's time (its got his cheap tackiness all over it). Most likely the head of facilities has made the decision to hang it without thinking through the ramifications without the boards knowledge.

Naw, yer no getting away with that one MM.

Something of that significance is not done by the HOF himself and website statements must surely require approval and sign off ?

Trying to claim "zey know nuzzing" is almost as embarrassing as "Charlie Green done it and ran away."

It was up for all to see on the official website yesterday (Not now though), so it doesn't take a major leap of the imagination to assume they actually did know of this incident.

Green may have commissioned it (He may also have commissioned the other 6 new paintings but will never be given the praise for them, who knows?) but he certainly never sanctioned the hanging of it, but never mind eh?, just as long as you can prove a link to Green to deflect from the fact that it was someone involved with this board who, once again, has embarrassed the club and the support, and widely miss the whole point of this thread.

These paintings were not all painted at the weekend, and it is to be assumed that, as the current board are just in the door 2 months, it is very possible that all 7 portraits were sanctioned by previous boards' members, so you're way off with the "Tacky" bit, as The Gallant Pioneers, Vallance, Struth, Wallace, Smith, Jardine, HAD Green been involved, would also fall under that term, when in fact, the painting in question is the only one that is to be removed from view.

:uk: Oh!, had this painting been commissioned by Green and accepted by the support this current board would probably have taken the kudos, and said it was their idea anyway.

Ive said before and Ill say again, King could have a press conference where he sets fire to Ibrox burning it to the ground, half his cronies would still defend him, and the other half would be to busy publicly sucking his cock to feel the flames.

While the other mob on here would be ecstatic that MIke Ashley could come in and make some real money by turning the burnt down Ibrox into luxury flats.

Didnt see it on the website tbh. Was the article on the webpage from one of the board? If so, puts a different slant on things.

I think the picture is a perfectly good vision of what should have happened but as we all know that's not how the story has unfolded. The painting should have been archived and forgotten.

Absolutely, the whole journey and feeling towards the individuals involved has become far too soured. Somebody really didn't think here.

Correct, she certainly is a talented artist though, Ally might bid for it, I have heard he is on a decent bit of money atm,
