Ontario Bear 8
Glad and relieved that we are through today but the contrast between the two keepers was massive. Every time the ball went towards our goal and Bell I feared the worst and at the other end I thought that Clark was immense with some fine saves. We can't afford what we would typically have had for a goalkeeper in the past, like a McGregor, Goram or Klos (plus we threw away the opportunity to get Craig gordon). Does any body else think that Zander Clark at the age of 22 might be worth a punt?

onefootwillie 1,519
Not seen enough of him but he played well today and we do need another goalkeeper

RangersMedia 35,962
I don't know what has happened to Bell. Doesn't look confident at all. There were a few balls today which were in his 6 yard box and he was rooted to his line.
graeme_4 37,618
Bell's shite.Decent shot stopper, but his command of area is appallingly bad. A new goalie must be one of our (many!) priorities in the summer.
Ibroxholm 2,312
Not that impressed with him but think after his long term injury, we have to give Bell first part of next season to try to get his form back. However, would like to see a keeper who commands the penalty box more.
Gooseman 889
To be fair, the defence in front of him does instil confidence.
nemisis 358
He's the best we have but Bell just isn't a good goalkeeper. He was in goals for Kilmarnock in 2011 when we put five past them.
blueretro 704
Clark had some decent saves but held nothing. Decent forwards would have scored a couple just from the rebounds from him.

sassaaaa 11,406
Don't know why he needs more time after injury , he never was a great keeper.Robinson was doing as good a job as him ........

Wawrinka 88
re "Bell was in goals for Kilmarnock when we put 5 past them"And what? None of them were goalkeeping errors. Peter Schmeichel conceded 11 goals in 2 games once.

Positioning was poor for the Lafferty lob, and his recovery footwork also wasn't great. Also felt his wall set-up and positioning could have been better for the Jelavic freekick. Bestie 25
Bells basically got away with murder since came in Never looks to come for a cross eg today and for one ball into the 6 yd box he was a yard behind the goal line His kicking is poor and hes slowHe must be mc calls lucky charm Carry on Cammy
onefootwillie 1,519
But who would we go for I can't think of any decent keepers we could afford

We've been spoilt with keepers for the past 30yrs and Bell isn't quite as good as previous standards.

A Gallant Pioneer 555
We have 3 first team keepers on our books costing us over 10 grand a week and we need shot of them all before thinking about bringing anyone else in.
the goal machine 7,992
What's the problem with Lee Robinson?I think he's better as well tbh. Bell can make some outstanding saves but when Robinson was in the team, he looked more solid overall.
