Rangers Lady 2,380
That's bullshit mate. There's wallopers been done for contempt of court trying to argue that.Anyone who gets done has disclosed information, either willingly or by being duped.Like others I followed the guidance online, chased them, revoked their presumed right of access which resulted in...An apology and promise not to disturb me again. The wallopers you refer to are those who gleefully fund cosgroves corner
Spectre 1,663
Not only should Rangers fans with a conscience pay Nada to the BBCRangers fans group should be canvasing the support with details on non payment.legally you are required to pay for live broadcasts. This can only be enforced if you give them info.If your a fearty just pause any live broadcast for more than 30 seconds and your safe, even if polis and capita are in your house. The only bit of your post that is wrong is the pausing the broadcast part. You would still be receiving the live broadcast in that scenario and it would effectively be getting recorded for which the licence is also required

mclovin9091 1,388
As one persons mentioned, you only need a license if you admit to watching live tv as its being broadcast. So if the program is on BBC and its a repeat i.e most of it you don't need one. If you watch BBC news (for example) then thats live and you do.I've got them coming on the 10th, all the way from Dundee, that'll be a nice drive for them considering i live in Elgin I presume it'll go something like thisAre you Mr X? No.Do you have a tv? Yes.Do you watch live TV? No only porn, now piss off.Door closed.

mrmojorisin 13,613
Technically you still need to pay for the TV License then. Its not whether you watch BBC, its any channel. The licence fee funds the BBC...the company that collect the fee(Capita)are a private company employed by the BBC Other channels fund themselves through advertisements...something the been has consistently refused to do...preferring the method of sending hired goons to come round your house and coerce you out of money to fund their filthy corporation Don't let them into your homeTell them nothing name,DoB etc you are under no legal obligation to tell them anythingRevoke all implied rights of accessThey will go to court for warrants...on what? They have no proof you have a tv .....only assumptions and I dunno how that would stand in court if challenged.

Bad Robot 21,149
No it's not, an act HAS TO BE AGREED to by the individual, i.e. contract terms..The licence fee is a contract between you, the individual and the BBC.I never heard anything so ridiculous. The Police Act, The Equality Act, The Health and Safety at Work Act, all primary legislation. Maybe your thinking about a bill ad it passes through the stages.
