It's a public GTF to the SPFL. It would be a damaging fight if they reopened it that would drag on (probably through courts) for years. Mostly damaging for us though, which worries me into thinking it's even more of an incentive for Lawell, Thompson et all.

Not sure what people expect them to say to the SPFL. Doubt a confrontational stance will help us.

I think the goal of the Board should be to attain the kind of influence on the SPFL Board as sellic have.

It's a pretty run of the mill update statement, really.

Good statement IMO. Clearly states our position and that we won't be moved from it.

It is our irrevocable belief that this Clubs history, including its many successes, is beyond debate. Rangers cannot countenance or accept any talk, attempts or actions designed to undermine what this Club has achieved throughout its long history.

Apart from being as weak as piss, that last para. will make sure that we are punished. It is not for us to tell them what to think or do FFS. That is stupidity.

We only need to make it clear in the strongest possible terms that if there are any punitive consequences of this meeting, then Rangers will vigorously fight it all the way to wherever...

should have been this

THE SPFL Board has stated they held a conference call to be given a factual update on the Court of Session EBT ruling and so it would be remiss of the Rangers Board not to state the Club’s view.

It is our irrevocable belief that this Club’s history, including its many successes, is beyond debate. Rangers cannot countenance or accept any talk, attempts or actions designed to undermine what this Club has achieved throughout its long history.

So, as far as this Club is concerned there is no need for further SPFL consideration of court judgements or appeals. It is time for everyone to move on and work together for the greater good of the game.
