Can Judges Be Tapped Up

I seen this article on FB and although it's nowt to do with us but a comment (attached) from a reader certainly gives food for thought when he's basically saying the Scottish goverment tapped up a judge:

There's plenty of us believe that there are political hands all over the latest HRMC judgement.

Interesting post on the Scotsman website.

Nicola Sturgeon lied.

See the comment from William Forbes at 8:01.

Wise council indeed!

just not impressed with the tap up stuff mate. I remember CG saying that the LNS commission wasn't impartial and I wasn't impressed with that at the time either. I dont think they are tapped up...but everybody has their own.... er...personal feelings on the subject

Possibly not tapped up but the correct judges could be selected to come to the verdict required,

Looks like the law was ignored in the judgement as the common sense that the loans were indeed pavement

What would happen in the future should the loans be repaid,as I'm sure there is a clause where the loans have to be repaid after a period of time back to the trust 80 years rings a bell, now I know most trustees will no longer be around but how can any judge rule that this won't ever happen

As many have commented, I find it strange that the judge found it necessary to mention the advantage of singing players that the EBT's gave.

This was not in his remit, the HMRC don't care about the purpose of them, only the legality of their use.

So this judge was biased, he was expressing an opinion not a fact and could have been persuaded by outside parties.

Even "mr black's" testimony which he probably considered was an opinion, not a fact.

Exactly - there are judges out there who are familiar with tax laws but who were, for some unknown reason, not chosen to hear this appeal. Does seem rather strange that this happens. I would question the 'common sense' approach of the judges - when have these guys ever dealt in common sense? We would not need laws if common sense were to prevail at all times.

i think the more pertinent question is:

Can any judge who has bled catholicism or paedo fc since childhood ever come to an objective verdict concerning Rangers?

but then again, there's no need to ask such a redundant question because everybody knows the fucking answer!
