AlBear. 8,499
He helps out with coaching the U20's in his spare time, this is solely a playing contract. Earned, in Warburtons opinion, from his performances on the pitch.
piperpete 3,186
As a player he is finished.Awful decision.Surely you trust the management team to decide whether he is or isnt value to the squad, if you dont then you obviously dont trust MW. LeeWallace5 222
Good move IMO, he may not have the pace he used but he is a very intelligent player. Obviously he won't be a starting 11 player but can still be useful coming off the bench in the SPFL imo and helping with the under 20's is an added bonus ?. Dutchy 1,200
I think he'll play less and less and concentrate on the coaching side more. He can come on a change a game, but I don't think we should be depending on, lets face it, oldies as our future strikers.

Camshy 812
Glad to hear it as he will help the younger guys, he was on my flight to Heathrow on Saturday and sounded in good spirits.
WATBB 1,524
Mr. Warburton obviously seems something in Kenny Miller that is valuable to Rangers. His performances in training and on the pitch have obviously attributed to his earning of that contract extension, however as previously discussed; He's doing a lot with the under 20's now, and focusing more and more on the coaching side of football.I'd suspect Rangers will be Kenny's last port of call, in a playing sense, and possibly his first port of call in a coaching sense. DrLaudrup 4,597
MW likes to have more experienced players around the squad and there is no doubt Miller is a model professional. Likely to not play as much, but I trust MW's judgement, as he's not made many mistakes as yet.
Spectre 1,663
Not totally against this, think he will still provide an option but wonder if his wages, however high or low, could not be better spent on a new player next season
loyalfollower 1,543
He adds a lot of experience to the squad,it's easy to look at his age etc but if we can look past that as we all did with Davie weir that's where we'll see his true value.Ask any defenders in Scotland for their opinion on playing against him before we jump on the slagging bandwagon
OneDavidCooper 2,505
Poor decision from a playing perspective as Miller has been sub standard this season but if he is a good influence in the dressing room, etc, then I can see the sense in this. DaleFo8 96
Most experienced player in our squad in both age and his playing career, that is vital to help out what is a very young squad. Can always rely on Kenny to put in a shift when needed. As long as he isn't seen as a 1st team player, and continues to help out off the field, I can't see any issue with this. If we let him go, our most experienced player would then become Shiels, 5 years younger than Kenny and nowhere near the same level of career. Warburton likes a good mix and would probably rather re-sign Kenny than go out and try to bring in someone with that kind of experience. Good decision in my eyes. WilliamFyfe 1,438
I trust Warburton on this one
longbeachbear 16
Veteran squad player signs extension. It only becomes an issue if we don't strengthen up-front before the summer.
