Law should start for certain. At the start of the season everyone just assumed Zelalem was better than Law because Law was poor last season and Zelalem was on loan from Arsenal.

Fact is though, we were at our best at the start of the season with Law, Holt and Haliday in midfield. The balance hasn't been right since and we should definitely be going back to that.

Am thinking Thomson as DM against hivees and pushing AH further up could be a shout. Midfield of Thomson Holt and Halliday / Law. Up front Barrie waggy and Law/ Halliday.

Don't think we can line up as we have been. And imo the last time we went 3 CHs against hivees we were howling.

Big decisions for the gaffer.

We looked very weak in midfield especially against a team with a lot of fired up Tim's. I'd like to see Ball go to DM, and give Halliday a chance in his natural position on left, McKay playing on the right. Law also replacing Zelalem. Oduwa needs to be dropped. Tavernier needs dropped but no options.. FFS the amount of times Falkirk dropped into our vacant right back space yesterday.. I wish clubs would give US that kind of space.

Up until he came on we were lucky not to be 5-1 down, after he came on it was all one way traffic in our favour.

law done well yesterday but tbh i think we were really only all over them the last 10-15 mins and i think thats because they took off their guys upfront so lost the simple ball over the top that was causing us all the problems

Don't think it's a coincidence our early season form was when we had a midfield of Holt Law & Halliday.

Zelalem doesn't deserve to walk back into the

side.

This.

He might turn out to be world class, but we shouldn't be trying him out when we're trying to gain promotion....Halliday, Holt and law at the start of the season were bossing games

You only have to look at Chelsea to see how players perform under certain managers. I dont agree with it and think its a disgrace when you look at the wages they are on, but Law has been one of our best players this season compared to last when he was posted missing/

He needs to start against Hivs

It's clear the boy has been learning his trade at Arsenal, their traits of trying to walk the ball into the net and taking six passes when two would do shine right out him.

and i think its spreading round the team a little - we always try to play an extra pass and its frustrating when you think "why didn't he just shoot"?. I think some players have to step up and take some responsibility for the next few months but for me its the slump in form of Waghorn and Tav thats most worrying as they looked like they could have won the league on their own at one point.

We need to get some decent competition for places in and maybe give these guys a rest for a few weeks.

That doesn't mean a bloated squad - just a few guys that can play in a number of positions. At the moment we have guys that cant really play anywhere else - most are specialists.

I used to crack up when we signed "versatile" players, that were competent in a variety of positions rather than excellent in one position. But we do currently need some guys who can fill in wherever the need arises.
