Rangers Confirm Pre-Contract Signings Of Crooks & Windass.

Recommended Posts

To be fair, English clubs have been stealing the best young talents in Scotland for years and getting them for peanuts, what goes around...

Overall, absolutely delighted with these two signings and imagine this is the direction we will be going for future targets also. Still think in top flight we`ll just need to sign maybe 2/3 already established players to blend with the young group.

Accrington Stanley midfielder Josh Windass has agreed personal terms with Rangers, STV has learned.

The 21-year-old, son of former Aberdeen and Hull striker Dean, has already visited Glasgow and is keen on a move to Scotland.

Windass and team-mate Matt Crooks are expected to move to Ibrox this summer should the Scottish Championship side agree training compensation.

The Ibrox club would be required to pay a fee for both players, provided Accrington Stanley have offered the players new deals on the same or better terms than their current contracts.

Clubs must pay compensation for players under the age 23 who move cross-border.

Harry Forrester and goalkeeper Maciej Gostomski have already joined the Light Blues in the January transfer window.

will we ever sign players from junior football again ?

Before last round of Scottish cup read about a 20 or 21 year old striker who has scored over 20 goals this season and pretty sure his da was an ex professional but can't now remember who it was or what junior team he plays for

Jack Smith at EK his dad's Andy Smith (Airdrie & Dunfermline). Jack Smith looks to be signing for Airdrie now too.
