Do any from the Catholic community follow the team in the North or are all of the fans from the Protestant side?

I have Catholic mates that follow both.

A lot has been done to make it more inclusive. Only the bitter, bigoted cunts from the Catholic community want us to get beat. Many would support the Republic but also like to see us do well.

Although to fair, I'm a 'fuck the Republic' man myself :D

So, I take it the efforts to include the other side is why you never see Rangers strips? You see loads of sellic strips at Republic games, but never really any Rangers ones at NI games.

He described himself as culturally British, didn't he, even though he's Catholic?

He's both basically. Doesn't talk about his nationality a lot apparently. He's representing Ireland in this years Olympics.

Taigs or Ulster?

NI. The Snow Patrol singer is supporting both.

When I was growing up going to Norn Iron games, there was a good few Rangers songs, a few Rule Britannias etc, loads of Rangers tops.

Much has been done to make it more inclusive and family friendly, we've won awards for the work done.

I wouldn't say there was many or any Catholic fans who only supported Northern Ireland, but I certainly have mates who follow both Norn Iron and the Republic, and plenty of Catholics like to see both do well. Though as I say, those wouldn't be the more bitter type ...
