Least You Don't Have To Worry Bout Boyd

Recommended Posts

Jinks Crivins, another victim of my replica jersey curse. Of all the strips in my closet (tonnes), the only ones with names are... Hendry, Ferguson, Boyd, Burke. Guess we wave bye bye tae wee Burkey after that.

Seriously, from now on in, it's only the club for me. I won't be held personally responsible for the loss of players any more! :D

Burke.

No wonder the wee man's no for signing if it's like this behind the scenes. <rattat>

Fair point to some extent, Ted. I said to my wife after the St Mirren game that I wouldn't be in the least surprised if there wasn't a Hearts style meltdown possibly including BF coming out Pressley style to criticise the manager. But I never hoped it was the case.

I haven't rated Burke that highly and Boyd is hardly the successor to McCoist that some wish him to be. But comparing the two of them with Papac or Sebo...

Agreed.

I'd be really upset if we can't retain Burkey - can't think on that the noo, with all this other cr*p in the air.

All this inner turmoil can't help but affect morale and play, though. I think Burkey has loads of potential, and as far as Boyd goes - I think you're right in that he's not the second coming of McCoist, but I think good results and a gaffer who believes in him would do wonders for his performances.

I think Boyd has got worse, rather than better in recent months so you may well be right Del. Under another manager with a different playing style, perhaps he would do better. I'm just very very sceptical of the big build up he gets in certain quarters. He still doesn't score regularly at the highest level.

With you there, but I can't help thinking of Super Ally under GS, so I'm willing to give Boyd the benefit of the doubt. He certainly proved he could score buckets of goals before we got him.
