Listening to Sportsound and Gordon Smith was on. He said managers shouldn't react to the crowd, that goes for Lennon, his view as a former SFA member, his time as an assistant manager and even if his son became a manager. In short, ignore it, don't react. Players get booked for it so why should managers be allowed to act differently.

The host then posed a question to him that had been sent via Twitter (and i'm paraphrasing) "Is Gordon Smith really suggesting that Neil Lennon should just ignore the anti catholic abuse he receives from certain fans? You wouldn’t ask a person of colour to avoid racist insults so why is anti catholic abuse?

Gordon Smith replied saying he himself suffered anti Protestant abuse at parkhead and indeed he ignored it, rose above it, didn't react and said those fans were merely demeaning themselves!

Fair responses.

The only difference between anti Protestant and anti Catholic in this country is that you are allowed to be anti Protestant it seems.

Anti-protestant is pure banter

Anti-catholic is the crime of the century

It's really not anti anything with Lennon...well, other than anti-cunt.

Talking from experience, if you're getting the bird for something from opposition fans and decide to react, then you'll only get more...react again or give a bit back and you get even more....and so it goes on...until it starts getting nasty.

Thats the root of it.

I did think he was pathetic mate

squirming in an apologetic way

Why go on the offensive if you are not going to back it up

He was making excuse after excuse after he said the first points and getting tight from the bheasts lovers thereafter

My son has just told me sky are reporting that the SFA are now going to investigate Irish racism within Scottish football. You could not make it up

nowt wrong with that .do the full investigation and they will find that there is only 1 case.

after that they can then go into anti British racism in Scotland. that will take a whole lot longer

When Lennon was spouting his "anti-irish racism" shite last week, how I wish a journalist was brave enough to say to him, "yes Neil, but that can't be what it is with you, you're British after all".

Lennon talking about Mourinho today and how he cupped his ear and the “hypocrisy” of the media’s reporting.

Why didn’t anybody ask him if

1) While Juventus & Man Utd are unquestionably bigger clubs, are they historical rivals on the level of Hearts & Hibs?

2) Was there an incident in the Juve Man Utd game to rile the fans up akin to when the Hearts keeper was punched by a Hibs fans in the moments before Lennon started goading the fans?

3) Did Mourinho stand right in front of the Juventus main stand doing the gesture?

The coin throwing is ridiculous but the way the media up here are treating this with kid gloves because they don’t want to be seen as controversial or going against this popular opinion that Lennon is only a victim when he was also an antagonist is bizzare but not surprising considering the way that society works now.
