where does mcculloch fit in with potentially, beasley/adam/gow all being able to play in left mid? or does mculloch play primarily up front? gow somewhere else? we know adam isnt a left mid but he plays there... its too hard to even guess, eagerly anticipating the germany matches now

Good competition for quite a few places, no player is guaranteed a starting berth, I suppose it will vary on the opposition/injuries/suspensions etc.

At least every player will have to seriously fight for a game.

Keeps them on their toes!

im never one for posting these team selections...

but..IMO, with our current crop of players...

------------------McGregor-----------------------

--Hutton-----Cuellar---Weir------Smith------

-----------------Thomson-----------------

---------Buffel----Ferguson---Beasley-----

-------------Darcheville----Boyd----------

probobly look nothing like that, and we could end up signing a couple more..but right now id choose that if i was manager

(THEFISH is like 'thank fuck he's no' :craphead: )

i agree with your team selection but would maybe have gow instead of buffel and have beasley/gow changing positiosn through out the game

I agree with that.

Not too keen on Buffel but if we don't sign anyone else then I would go with that.

I agree with this except Buffel, i think he is limited to upfront or behind the front two, too lightweight for anywhere else. I am struggling for a suggested replacement though, maybe Burke or Novo? But i tend to agree with other posters, Where does McCulloch fit in? at over 2 million quid he must be considered a starter. Maybe he will play McCulloch on the left and Beasley on the right????? Also do we really need to bother with Naismith anymore?

Yeah i kinda agree with the Buffel concern there hence why i went with...

As he will be effectively in behind either Boyd/JCD or Boyd/Beasley when we attack - it also gives him options on the ball and that is when we get the best out of him
