toad 320
As Manager or director level?
LiviGer 648
If only. Would take him back to help MW this season as a 'non hands on' role. Can't see MW agreeing to that one.

LaudrupsPatrickBoots 13,510
Would he have Ally as his assistant again?
Bluepeter9 5,167
He would certainly shore up the defence! But no - time to move on. Even WS had bad spells - MW will get through this and be better for it in the long run.
K.A.I 36,183
We can't keep going running back to Walter when things go wrong - let him be ... I'm not sure who's right for us under these circumstances tbh - I still like Warburton and think he can do a job but he's on extremely thin ice - if we don't win at Pittodrie next week then I'll probably agree it's his time to go
Bigsasasfloppyhair 13,310
He will never be back.
GOAT 30,449
Btw I'm not saying anything against warburton but if I had to choose between him and smith over who could sort this and get us back to where we belong are it would be smith in a heart beat. Outside the nappy rippers they are the one team that would play against us as if it was a Champions League final. I think Warburton should get the season at least but can't see that happening at the minute.
Blackandra 732
He is probably the only man that could do it. Problem is I think Warburton needs time, but that's something thats not given in this job. He's not become a shite manager over night, last year at this time people on here were touting him as future England manager. As hard as it is I think we all need to accept we're not gona win the league this year and it's gona be one long hard season until King actually puts up some cash. Can't expect to win anything with freebies and over the Hill signings. Excuse the pun ?
RFC55 108,731
I love Walter but he's done his stint at Rangers. He deserves to enjoy his retirement
Creampuff 22,628
Just fuck off with this nonsense. Appointing Walter Smith now would be a ludicrous decision.

Drunk and disorderly. 14,328
He has more than done his bit. He deserves his retirement. But he would work wonders on this team with his man management skills and and we wouldn't be leaking goals either. Just hope the team and MW turn this around pronto. We are in free fall just now. AldoKrfc 106
Bed time. Warburtons the man. He'll learn as the season goes on and will need the backing to get the players he needs.
