Ferguson's cosy chat with Strachan, last straw!

The story that broke on the morning of the Celtic game re the captaincy, his cosy chat with Strachan at the end of the game, his interview on Radio Clyde after the game where he said 'I thought I you would ask me about that' undermined Le Guen big time.

There is no doubt to me,anyway, good player or not,he has been a bad influence in the dressing room.

His cosy chat with Strachan? what?

After a game a fellow professional - who he probably has respect for comes up and by all accounts says to him 'well played' - and he listens politely and thanks the guy and that is the last straw

would you have preferred our captain to have shoved the guy away and spat in his face?

I'd have expected him to do all the above then beat him up.

Sorry, humour mode. Not sure where it came from.

So you'd have him be mortal enemies with Strachan just because WGS is at Celtic? WTF?! How does that undermine PLG? I've got plenty of mates who support the Hoops - doesn't mean I'd ever think of supporting anyone else but Rangers.

Talking to a rival gaffer in a friendly manner after a match in NO WAY guarantees Bazza to be a "bad influence" in the dressing room. Please explain further your thinking here!

After the newspapers headlines that morning suggesting a difference of opinion on the role of captaincy, how do you think you would feel if you were Le Guen watching your captain, strachan's arm around his soldier sharing a joke with your captain at a time when the pressure is on your job.

I would have suggested that Ferguson knew when he went on radio clyde that the question would be asked. He leaked the story.

A lot of money has been put out by Rangers to bring him Le Guen to Ibrox not for the short term,so it is only right that Murray backs him.

Ferguson,is the guy, remember who asked for a transfer weeks before we went into the Champions League, then realised what he had left and wanted back.

Good player,brain of Britain, no!

I bet you when the real story comes out, Ferguson has caused the split in the dressing room.

For the future of Rangers, choose Fergie or Le Guen, for me,it is simple!

We'll agree to disagree on this, then. I believe if Bazza has caused a split in the dressing room, it is only because he loves this club so much and is gutted by what he sees happening around him. Fergie knows RFC - it's traditions are in his DNA, in his blood and bones. He truly cares what happens to this institution because he was brought up with it. Can we say the same for PLG?

I think it is a clash of cultures, there was a story last week coming from German TV

(a foriegn station anyway) that he did not appreciate his captains drinking lifestyle, cannot comment if that was true.

Le Guen does not like the way Ferguson harangues his team mates on the pitch or his manner in the dressing room.

Ferguson is not comfortable to Le Guen's way of thinking.

Le Guen is always on about a united dressing room,it cannot help if your captain is pulling in a different direction.

Is it not amazing to you how our performance dipped disastrously against Inverness and St Mirren, my bet is that something has happened in the dressing room between Le Guen and him.

Whatever, Le Guen's future as Rangers manager stands or falls with this decision.

Agree with these two points. Firstly that it was obvious during the St Mirren game that for some reason or other the players hearts were not in it and they apparently were barely on speaking terms on the park.

Second, PLG is likely to stand or fall on this decision. Someone said elsewhere he must have DM's backing on such a monumental decision and you would have to think that is true.

As for the chatting to Strachan thing, I expect a fighter like Strachan was probably commiserating with BF and encouraging him to hang in there, as Gus McPherson was apparently doing on Saturday. The team is a disaster, BF is obviously passionate about it and I think that appeals to everyone with that type of temperament.
