Traynor was right to step in, and I'm glad he did so, but ending the press conference was a tad childish. Warburton looked bemused at having to leave.

To be fair they were asked if they had any more questions, no one responded so no reason to continue it

One of the other reporters was in the middle of asking a question when Warburton was asked to leave.

But still, the Scottish media are a disgrace so fuck them.

He was asking "has it been distracting", so he was continuing the line of questioning regarding Joey Barton.

Although it is a valid question, it still concerns Barton which the club and Mark has both said they won't make comment on it.

There was a guy at the very end who was saying "in terms of" then Mark left, but that was a bit after Traynor asked "Any More questions? No? Thank you very much".

Journalist demanding respect? The fucking brass neck of them.

A lot of journalists seem to have this "ive got a right" about them, because they work in the press. Well done Jim. They were asked to stop that line of questioning and didnt.

Standing by for tomorrows papers printing a nothing story about us because we have pissed them off

Traynor should have adressed the media before Marks arrival and told them in no uncertain terms not to discuss Barton. He should have made it clear that press passes were at risk if anyone showed a lack of respect by ignoring his advice. If Mark is subjected to one more of these embarrassments someone needs their arse kicked.Thankfully the presser was resumed but yet again Mark made to look uncomfortable.

It's time we dealt with the scum this way, I wonder if they will be so hard on Celtic considering it's board members are denying our schools, soilders and hospitals, and the fact Bellamy joined one of these schemes the week after he joined Celtic.

Today was very old news but no paper ran with it when they should have , Today the Scotsman and record report on it and that's disgraceful as these said directors are on the SFA board and the SPFL board.

Shoudl people that cheat the tax system the men who really should be running our football.

And after what Dave King went throu?   They wee all at it

The club released a statement saying that the club nor player would be discussing anything about it.

As Journalists, they should be doing research before a press conference and as such they would've read the Statement. It shouldn't require a addressment from Traynor beforehand. They should already know.

There is no where shape or form the press come out looking decent in this situation. They look extremely amateurish.

A given that the press are cunts but I'm only interested in Rangers and how we can avoid another shambles of a press conference. Quite clearly we allowed them to disrespect us in our own house and Traynor is well paid to avoid such situations. I'm pretty sure Traynor will not get caught out again and maybe it's time for him to sit along side Mark and repeat FOUR times how Mark can't comment rather than see our manager be disrespected, as is often the way pressers are handled in the EPL.

The only mistake was that when Traynor ended the press conference that should have been it finished.  Bringing MW back out to face them was embarassing and unnecessary.

So are you saying MW came back out again after that ? :sherlock:

Didn't the club issue a statement therein it was indicated that no further comment would be made?

Didn't MW state clearly he wouldn't be commenting?

Anyone failing to understand this or the press's agenda in continuing to push the matter is naive, deliberately or otherwise.
