If everyone else is feeling half as angry as me right now then we are all in danger of exploding so let's calm down and look at this without the Fluck PLG comments and so on.

We now know that Barry is no longer the captain and is out of the team tomorrow. He has been replaced by Gavin Rae which is baffling. Firstly i have to say that even though Rae is nothing compared to Barry we should give him support when wearing a Rangers jersey. He never asked for this to happen and is probably as bewildered as the rest of us.

With regards to Barry it has been obvious how angry he has been getting with certain players who are not trying hard enough. This leads me to suspect that maybe he has went into one of his famous moods and just lost it with one or more of these players. This could be the reason he was stripped of the captaicy but then again it could be anything.

I want everyones CALM thoughts on what you all think has happened behind the scenes and wether you think Barry will leave? Or will PLG go first?

I will still be dreaming of a good result tomorrow for the sake of our club and its glorious history. To think that we have ended in this debacle after all the highlights and glory days.

But while I will be cheering for the team, I can't believe this is happening to our club and it can only be bad news.

He could but would you? I certainly wouldn't. If you remember back, Barry got the captaincy the first time under similar circumstances when Amo got stripped of it. Anyone in Gavin's position would take it. I like many others demnd an explanation though and will wait and see what it is before deciding whether to assasinate Le Guen or not. :ph43r:

Barry WILL leave.

He said it in his book that if the manager didn't want him he would leave.

I can't see a talent like barry sitting in the reserves.

As for Ray, I know it isn't his fault but he is a poor poor player and to give him the armband is just shocking and stupid.

Has this all been blown out of proportion? RFC statement claims that its "on this occasion" and not once has the term "Club captaincy" been used... GR replaced Barry as captain against Partizan... so possibly that's just been a whisper that has gotten out of hand?

IMHO if this is true, then I don't see DM sacking PLG... we all know what's happened at Hearts with their constant change... I can see Barry leaving, although I think it will be a huge loss, because for the money we have, Barry is irreplacable!

IMO BF and PLG had a big dispute over something - most likely the captaincy.

BF probably "vented his feelings" at PLG over that or tactics, selections, etc.

PLG took this as a lack of respect and hence we are where we are.

This is my view of it. There may also be leaks to the press by Derek F too.

This should all have been handled in house.

Has BF been transfer listed? If so it is outrageous.

Wouldn't surprise me if what you say is correct but why would you do that now against Motherwell away? They are hardly opposition that you would change the captaincy for. PLG must know we are facing a decent side tomorrow and must be aware that what he has done is only going to split the team more than it already is. This is a terrible time to do such a thing which leads me to believe that this was a spur of the moment incident.
