It was to do with changing laws for animal abuse a think. seen a story on two boys who pretty much leathered a dog down south n got away with it. No idea why flew above Ibrox tho.

If it was on animal abuse I think they were seven days too late.

read a story where a couple of wee millennials were so distraught they paid for it, vigil in George Sq tonight.

Scotsman quote "between Rangers and Hearts by a protest group aiming to improve animal abuse ..."  not sure how you improve animal abuse, electrocute them?

They done it in the City vs Chelsea game, now they've done it in our game. Reason? As always I guess we're the biggest show in town. so if you're wanting to attract headlines/awareness then you've got to do a Rangers game. The last line though is fucking hilarious though. 'Added media attention because of Cathro'! Fucking hell! Haha!

A plane is to be flown over Ibrox during the league game between Rangers and Hearts by a protest group aiming to improve animal abuse sentencing.

Operation Frankish was formed in protest against the sentencing of Andrew Frankish and brother Daniel, 19, after they attacked their pet bulldog but still walked free. As a result of the attack the dog was put down. The latest exercise by the group follows a successful protest in Manchester during the Man City v Chelsea clash and is part of the awareness exercise being conducted by the group on a national level. A Facebook event for the protest at Ibrox tomorrow read: “Both the Government in London and the one in Edinburgh are weak on abusers and predators. This must and will end. “Our goal is very simple. We aim to pressure the body politic into making radical reforms.

“Our message this weekend will be specifically aimed at Nicola Sturgeon” It is understood that the banner at the Rangers v Hearts game will read: “Nicola Sturgeon, All bark, no bite.”

The Rangers v Hearts game was picked by the group due to the clash involving teams from both Glasgow and Edinburgh and due to the added media attention on the fixture due to the appointment of Ian Cathro.
