Davey_RFC 122
Definitely my first choice to replace Le Goon. Would bring the team together and actually motivate the team for games.
Dillinger 0
Or would that just be a step backwards? Step backwards <nooo> .Everyone seems to forget that there were ?50 million big reasons as to why Walter enjoyed more success than either McLeish or PLG (and no, I don't condone the Frenchman's track record).Smith enjoyed massive financial resources something that we are not likely to have. Not that it should cost ?50 million to win the SPL anyway.
simplythechamps08 2
At least he understands the club and what it means to us and guys like Barry Ferguson - would be better than that french arsehole
CanadianGer 1
If PLG has decided to drop BF permanently and hand the captaincy to a lad who has been unable to hold down a first team place, then he should be out the door and away to a cozy padded room. Walter wouldn't be a disaster, he obviously knows how to gel a team together and get them playing, something that money alone would not do. However, I'd probably prefer a new broom to sweep clean. nvager 498
Billy Davies or WS - Just get rid of PLG. SOON!
Muff 245
We now need a young, good, Scottish, enthusiastic, tactically aware, positive manager who knows what Rangers and the Scottish game are all about. We need someone who will lift the spirits and sign the right players. We need someone who is a good motivator and will listen sometimes.Billy Davies is the man. loyalandtrueblue 69
Look at the players Walter has at his disposal in the Scotland set up?No big names and you could hardly say they are world class either! But through his TACTICS and deploying the players in their strongest positions and giving them true belief in their capabilities as individuals and as a team he has turned them around and made them look half decent who fight for one another and that's without any sort of transfer budget!!So again, for me, the small step backwards in getting Smith would mean a giant leap forward in making Rangers what they were!Bring back Walter
