Absolutely ridiculous thread. Why do people look for scapegoats instead of just admitting that we're shite?

Players who aren't playing well should keep their mouths shut annoys me when I read Kiernan talking about the modern centre back and playing out and tackling being a last option ... then you've got Halliday saying this squad doesn't need reinforced come on man

He should have been binned after the Cup game as he struggled in the lower divisions he's still struggling now last night we saw how he defends without Hodson protecting him.

That's actually a good point, why Hodson was left out last night is a mystery.

About using the squad, fuck all, pick the best 11 and play the best players for the positions you want them to play.

Last night we seen changes that had a detrimental effect on the team, fair play Wallace was injured but other than that the changes were baffling.

Foderingham gave Kiernan the exact same ball just after they scored last night, and it nearly ended the same way. Playing from the back is fine, passing to a player who is being closed down is not. I'm not Kiernan's biggest fan, but the goalkeeper should be picking his passes better. And another thing, that goal of theirs actually happened from us being in attack, without any of their players touching the ball before the player who scored,

He's not a scapegoat, he cost us a goal which in turn cost us the game.

Hodson came in against the Taigs, played brilliant, started v St Johnstone, made a mistake very early on, and was dropped. Kiernan deserves dropped just for that fact.

We will see if Warburton has the courage to drop one of his favourites for the game against THEM.

I would have played Hodson and Waghorn from the start was a no brainer. They must have been gutted being left out.

The only real change he had to make was moving Wilson to cover for Wallace which Wilsons familiar with anyway which he did do, i can't fathom him out now to be honest.

That decision alone was self explanatory, the Waghorn and Hodson one less so, was he wanting to keep them fresh for the weekend game? If so it kinda contradicts his constant rhetoric about only focussing on the game at hand and it being the same 3 points for a win regardless of opposition.

Hodson was left out because we tried to play 3-5-2 which meant Tav playing midfield instead of fullback and Mackay covering left fullback when needed. It goes without saying that it did not work very well.

A horrible topic. OP needs to grow-up.

We're all adults here; it was a mistake on Kiernan's part, unintentional and unfortunate given his recent form.

Attempting to use him as a scapegoat for a split-second error when we had 90+ minutes to rectify it is a kid's view on the game.

TBF , The tactics were working well up to the point of that backpass . We probably started as well as we have in any away game this season . MW has been a bit more flexible with the game plans this season than we have been used to seeing , 3-5-2 last night and being more direct to Garner , but we still seem to struggle to adapt to in game situations like when S J changed things last night yet we persevered with a plan that had stopped being effective . Player selection and substitutions are also baffling at times , IMO ,the midfield was crying out for the wee bit of creativity that Forrester offers especially the last 20 mins and he could've replaced any of the central 3 who were contributing very little by that point .
