His agent, Jorge Mendes, claims he has rejected €100m a year.

Bid was €300m or £256.5m.

As told to Sky Sports Italia, allegedly.

Money and corruption are making the game more and more meaningless.

Tevez followed some other star who sold his soul.

I would have been surprised if he went to be honest, he is still a hungry footballer, and just came off the back of his most successful season, add to that the fact that he'll probably become a billionaire anyway, there's no way he'd go to China for the money in his current situation.

China, one of the last communist countries in the world, using a large dose of capitalism, to tempt players to play for them. Ironic?

It's communist by title only. Does it look like they run a communist economy? They're one of the most capitalist counties in the world, they don't give a shit about the workers

Where is all this money coming from over there?

"In October 2016 China's foreign exchange reserves totaled US$3.12 trillion"

Problem is that the Chinese people are poor and can't afford goods from Europe and the US. The only people with money are the rich institutions who will spend it on any old shite.

When it comes to money, then they are very capitalist. When it comes to stopping the local populace from knowing what is happening in the outside world, then they're still communist. Try using Facebook, YouTube , blogging sites etc in China without a proxy server. Very difficult to do.

Slowly dying. I went to Anfield a few years ago and it was mostly Scandinavian languages you heard outside the ground. I know quite a few people up here in the Faroes that have season tickets at Anfield and Old Trafford.. There is a bit of cash up here so people can afford it.. Most of these guys know the so gs, though..

Did he think the money was spoiling his club when they started to win things after years and years of being shite?
