Should have one thread for the VB articles IMO, possibly in a separate part of the forum.

I recognise what they're trying to do and fair play to them for that but the articles about the tarriers and they're disgusting acts aren't exactly BD material tbh. Every other thread that gets started in here about them gets shifted so these should be no different.

I agree btw.

plus the article is a bit of a ramble if I'm honest.

I never even finished the first paragraph. If you've read one, you've read them all.

I suppose though when their aim is just to keep drawing attention to it then there's only so much that can be said so it's bound to become a bit repetitive.

The moderators have more pressing issues than dealing with your complaints.

Although in this case they have.

Well done VB please keep up the good work, for the good of everything that is considered moral this should not be allowed to be swept under the carpet.

An extract from one of Torbetts victims sums up why VB needs to continue this.

"I'm so glad I don't have sons. I would have wanted to send them to Celtic Boys Club, but I would always have wondered if some pervert was abusing them. "It took me a long time to come to terms with what happened and understand it wasn't my fault. "But there are still days when I suddenly find myself in tears. "Nobody should get away with what Torbett did. How many more boys have suffered because of him? "I still love Celtic. I go to Parkhead every week and I'll be a Celtic man until I die. "I only hope real Celtic fans will understand why I have come forward. If I can help stop this happening to one more boy, it will have been worthwhile."

Now there's Mccafferty. This horrible football club has followers and as such has a duty to protect other victims like the one above. Until they are held responsible this club should not be allowed to forget their vile history.

Don't open threads that are tagged 'vanguardbears' then

Have the SFA not already said they are setting up an independent enquiry - but I read different in the statement.

Plus some of it was very derogatory to hard working child protection officers/social workers I thought. These folk plough a turgid field day in day out in the most horrendous circumstances to protect the vulnerable. Blaming Sturgeon some how in that is a bit confusing.

The first half of his statement you can only have nothing but sympathy for him, but I can never understand the second half of it when he says he is still a celtic man, by fuck if my team had been involved in this, did nothing about it and still continue to pretend it never happened you can bet your life I would never set foot in their ground again let alone call myself a supporter of them

That's exactly why it's imperative that the football team is held responsible for allowing the paedophiles to go undeterred. The fact he also has to ask fellow supporters for forgiveness shows the power this team has and they use that power to protect  paedophiles, it's sick.

You really need to wonder how many anonymous victims have previously been paid for keeping silent and is this still ongoing at Celtic FC.

An extract from a telegraph article

"One lawyer, who specialises in child sex abuse cases, said clubs that had settled cases with claimants and had bound deals up in strict confidentiality rules risked being investigated for perverting the course of justice if they had prevented police from carrying out inquiries as a result. "

The fact that these paedophiles attached to Celtic took decades to be brought to justice indeed this latest one was due to abusing kids out with a sporting environment, shows the result of perverting the course of justice. They have a statutory duty to report these crimes according to the SFA own regulations.
