Better quality of player certainly helped, the downside of that is we can't afford to sign that type of quality.

The even sadder part is that a financially strong Rangers probably couldn't afford them either. That English market is pretty much a world of its own.

think the boy Emerson cost bournemouth 6 million or so

Was that no a development fee? would be surprised if it was as much as that, no details were given by either club but some media outlets saying it was only 750k

I'm maybe thinking of another youngster Maye. But there was one who'd played about 6 games and went for 6million or so

The sending off to equal the numbers helped but what we seen from the midfield today pleased me most

Halliday can get away with it when he has toral & hyndman

He receives gives and sometimes gives it away but rarely runs forward to his credit he did ok today because of the two loan players .

Kenny miller is our scottish version of teddy sheringham that,s why he deserves to stay on

I Enjoyed it so much reminising back to that play off final defeat and their fans lapping it up

So whos laughing now that full stadium crowd that day a one off ! no surprise

The game's gone all to fuck when a team like Bournemouth can afford to sign a player for £6 million, then loan him out to Rangers, the football Kings of Scotland.

We get about three times more fans coming to watch us, at home, yet they can out spend us, in the transfer market. The EPL is shite this season! The Championship is a better league, and has got bigger teams Luke, Newcastle, Villa, Birmingham, Sheffield Wednesday, Wolves, Blackburn, Leeds, etc etc

It's not all about "bigger" teams. Bournemouth got there on merit without Premiership big money, but they do have a special manager. If you look at the top six, the big teams are there. As for Newcastle, have they ever won anything?. Villa  have been a train wreck for a long time. As they say, the league positions don't lie, with money or without, it's a level playing field whatever league you are in with the exception of having an Arab or Oilgarch owner and even then it guarantees nothing, just look at City.

As I once lived in Manchester, I became a City fan. City were better to watch when they were poor, at least you knew they'd fuck it up somehow. Look at the time City won the league, it was the same old City way, left it to the last kick of the season to win the league.

There was a play off final at Wembley versus Gillingham, to get back into Championship. It went to penalties, Gillingham scored their first 4 pens, City had 2 out of 3. They needed to score, both remaining pens, and hope that Gillingham missed theirs. It happened, and City won in sudden death. You needed a strong heart back then, as a City fan, Rollercoaster doesn't cover it, but it was never dull, went through a lot of managers as well. Steven Coppell, I think that's his name, former Man Utd player, was appointed but never took up his position.? Don't know why? I think he shat it with him being an ex badge kissing red bastard. IMHO
