Erm because the board have made a complete mess of things for the vast majority of their tenure maybe....

Look it's cool you are happy with how things are going behind the scenes, that's fantastic but some clearly are not and find the whole thing a complete mess.

Sorry that infuriates you but yeah folk have different views as to this subject. Imagine that.....

Different views is fine. But folk are awfully eager to fulminate at the slightest thing. Unverified rumours, journo tweets etc etc. It is bordering on hysteria at times.

There is a difference between being happy with the board and keeping ones powder dry.

The board have previous for fucking things up, folk are obviously going to take them to task when it appears they are fumbling from one mess to another.

Nothing they do is ever clear cut or simple, it's dragged out and we end up with some underwhelming resolution eventually.

They have had more than enough time to sort things out but here we are still non the wiser. Shambles pure and simple

You know your legal stuff so what can we do regarding Mitchell now that he's on gardening leave with Spurs?

If he has been put on gardening leave for anything to do with us the Warburtons legal team will be peeing their pants right now.

  • The shoe-horning in of Murty as caretaker.  Someone with no relevant experience or credentials to manage a football club never mind a club of the stature of Rangers
  • The delay in recruiting a replacement manager......and still not landed a replacement.
  • The retreat - it seems - from recruiting a DOF having found out that what they offered to candidates was not enough to attract them to Rangers

Agree with everything you said apart from these three.

Murty's been in charge for a relatively small length of time which will be coming to an end hopefully after Sunday.

Again same as the point above,Warburton left in February and his replacement will be in a month later. That is quick imo.

Wilson was offered the role and turned it down. Now we're after Mitchell but can't do a thing about it as he's on gardening leave.

Many teams lose managers during the season and have caretakers prior to having a new manager in place.  I'm quite chilled about it all at the moment my only wish is that we, as a club, did our business in a quieter manner..

We will get who we will get, he will no doubt be the best manager that was available to us and was willing to come with the terms offered to him.

The whole D.O.F stuff that was put out was a bit of a smokescreen in my opinion, and im not impressed with that really.  As far as I can see , every club will have someone doing a version of the D.O.F role, how much influence they have will be down to how much the club trust and value the manager.

Club with a weak manager will have a very  influential  D.O.F

Club with a strong manager will have less influential D.O.F.

The way Robertson, Dickson, King and the Board seem to be operating risks skating on thin ice with hot blades.  Take for example the following:

  • The opportunistic way they chose to claim resignations had taken been tendered by Warburton, Weir and McP.......but still not resolved with the 3 referring the case to lawyers.
  • The scathing public statement from King about Warburton (King's statement 2).
  • The way Barton was ousted from the Club via the blunt force of the disciplinary handbook
  • The sudden snatched-at policy lurch of going for a DOF.

These sorts of events may (or may not) risk making their mark on other staff at the Rangers Training Centre with the additional risk of causing them to start to look at how the future at Ibrox is shaping up under this quality of Direction and senior exec leadership.

Point being.....this is not the performance of a top-functioning, confident, efficient Board.  This sort of performance by the top of the shop can risk causing staff to think about whether its the best place to be pursuing their careers.    IMO some really good quality leadership is needed at Ibrox     The new manager - whoever he is - will hopefully bring that to the first team squad.    But as for the Directors.........well imo they are far from covering themselves in any sort of leadership glory.

Spot on :tu:  I'm beginning to wonder if the process will drag out until end of season for several reason,

the big tax case hearing a week from now.

the ST money will come in from April onwards,

they'll have no management fees to pay.

King's remit is to qualify for European football, seeing us get qualification money and money from ticket sales.

If we don't get to the play offs for Europa then it could cost us rather than make us anything.

your conspiracies are great but think them through first

No management fees? I doubt Murty is doing the job for the same wages as the under 20's coach.

Imo the money from Europa ticket sale will cover expenses. Fact is we're being run on a shoe string budget.
