Why?

His training ethics

His ability to read the game

His experience

His ability to issue commands

His ability to speak well in conferences

He shows respect to others

Others respect him

A good role model to youth entering the first team

He knows Rangers inside out

He knows Scottish football

He goes the extra mile

I could go on but I think that's enough .... :D

Wallace has all that apart from maybe two.

Also, deserves fuck all after playing for the Taigs.

Come on to fuck ya bitter bastard, it's clear where Miller's heart truly lies - even listening to his interviews you can tell he regrets that.

Couldn't give a fuck if he regrets it.

So hypothetically if you had the choice you'd still have Wallace the captain, instead of miller, even if miller was far better in that role - just simply because miller played for them?

I don't think one player has had pass marks over the course of the season.

Not one leads by example, not one excels in their role.

The likes of Miller and Halliday show more commitment than some but it's nowhere near what they should be offering.

None have it in them to spur a team on, demand more from others, change a game in our favour.

We have no captains.

I'd leave Wallace with the armband for now as it's irrelevant and no one else would do more until the end of the season.

Come summer that's just another job for the new gaffer.

I'm absolutely staggered that you think Andy Halliday shoes commitment? Rolling around the ground every 5 minutes clutching his leg? Grandstanding with referees and the crowd? Being constantly outfought and outmuscled?

Commitment from Halliday would mean getting on with his job with a steely focus and determination. He doesn't have that in him. Pathetic excuse for a footballer.

Ok, so you would purposefully weaken our team just because one of our players had previously played for the scum.

I'm glad you're no picking the team, what a moron.

Aye, because Miller being captain will strengthen the team, moron.

I may have read it wrong.

That's fine then mate, but I don't see the point in holding the past against someone IF it weakens the side.

The debate is whether or not Miller would actually be a better captain or not, personally I think he would be, but married up with him perhaps winding down, not having so much game time, even if he would be the better captain - would it be the correct decision to give him it? I'm not entirely sure. It's a difficult one.

Miller has practically been captain this season. Only one on the pitch along with Hill that does the talking. Wallace only has the arm band because he stayed with us when we dropped down. Never has been captain material but will be our captain till he goes (which will hopefully be this summer)

Commitment as in running around a lot. Moaning. That sort of thing. Shaking the head and pointing.

Like Miller does, you know.

He also does, badly, try to tackle. He also shows to the keeper for a pass and regularly loses it. He's even been known to gnarl at the bheast captain.

So commitment yes, ability...... not so much.
