"Upto £50m over the next 3-4 years" That was promised 2 years ago and we have spent next to nothing since so i am expecting quite a large budget for the new man. Huge investment on 4 or 5 blue chip players and another 4 or 5 first team stars better than what we have. Should be an exciting period ahead.

No chance mate. You'd never share your king rib supper.

That's a good point actually.

Well she can buy her own and i will help her finish it, then ride her.

Seriously though, i reckon somewhere in the region of 15 million spent wisely on transfers can see us challenge no problem.

Players will have to leave too, players who want to stay have until the end of the season to try and impress the manager.

It was £30m. And Warburton has spent £18m of that.

Pedro will get buttons

Nothing funny about it. If these guys dont have it or cant influence people to put money in why should they enjoy the benefits of directoship?King was the most unpopular director at the last agm vote but at least he has put money in. How many millions have Murray and Gilligan brought in? Anyone who votes for these twos re election needs their head examined.

My view of what it will take to make Rangers competitive again is bottom end £30m but probably £50m — over the next four years...I would say I would probably have to put in £30m of the £50m over the period of time. And I could probably get other people to put in £20m.

Clock is ticking.....:champagne:

Probably spent about £5-6 million at the most.

Care to explain where?

Agree it's unbelievable but only going by his statement made after MW's departure

Quote

£18 million of the originally estimated £30 million investment has already been made.

5mill of that never went to the club, another 5mill went to pay off Ashley.

So that leaves 8mill and about 6 mill of that has been paying the shortfall for the last 2 years.

So that's about 2mill of the boards money spent on players.

Sounds about right yeah

Whether it's on transfer fees or getting monkeys off our back it would still bee seen as investment surely?

Ye you're right. They probably hired Pedro because he might have some wealthy Arabic friends he could introduce them to so that they can persuade them to hand over £20 million.

So you agree Warburton didn't spend 18 million?

As for investment, only to a point. That will be converted to shares and punted for profit - only the board benefit from it, not the club itself.

13 mill technically aye, but only about 2mill went to players.

If they give the new guy 2mill over 2 years he ain't going to do anything.

Absolutely agree with that yeah, didn't think before I typed. Wasn't sure if the investment would take into account contracted wages etc as well, but even then no idea what that would add up to.

True, the rich get richer and all that.

Definitely, this bargain basement shopping needs to end now. You'd think (hope) Pedro would be aware of the goings on over the last 2 years and realise he'd need King to commit to a certain level of investment to avoid becoming another MW
