We seem to have stopped doing it over the years

I grew up going to games under souness and 9 in a row era and particularly when the mhankys held the scarfs above their head, we all twirled the scarfs!

Always looked fantastic imo

oFFtt last time I said this was 40 pager....... telling me that we done the straight scarf first !! Who give a fk........ Swirling scarfs are proddie like and BRILLIANT far superior to standing there like a tim.

I hope the new generation of fans keep the swirling scarfs and make it fun to sing every traditional rangers song at games....instead of making up tunes to every 80s group out there.

Im 39 and if you sang Tiffany and Erasure 10 year ago at games, you would get knocked out.

I've always thought things like this look great when there's a stand full of people doing it, but a bit daft when it's just every 10th-odd person.

That's what I'm meaning

looks great when we all do it

(if you have a scarf anyway )

more people are holding their phones in the air than scarfs, hoping to film something that the 50 odd cameras in the ground might miss

Less people wear scarves to games now compared to the 80's and 90's.

But as Centenarystand mentioned above, the first time I ever saw this was Hearts fans at Tynecastle in that shed area they had at the corner flag.

I thought this too, but it appears to have changed again, everyone i see the now carries scarfs again ! get them oot and twirl
