legalbeagle 3,734
All the debates before around conflicts of interest, etc, centred on James Blair, at least in his case it was all up front at the time when the members were voting, so although I didn't vote for him, it didn't concern me that he was on the board. I would separate this out as a different issue, this is just one person who is either oblivious to what could be a conflict, or just too egotistical to care or take advice on it. Either way, totally untenable and I am sure many of us will stop funding Club 1872 unless this is dealt with VERY quickly. calio
Popular Post Virtuoso 27,180
Makes you wonder about the remaining board of C1872. Why wasn't CH asked to resign in light of the revelations and were the 3 resignations accepted without question. C1872 is finished. Now as toxic as the RST was. For what it's worth, I told Greg on here that he'd rue the day he jumped into bed with Chris Graham and the RST. You reap what you sow... PRW. 5,631
SLO is a good step for the club to take, a lot of positives can come from that if its used right. One way of ensuring it doesn't reach its potential is by employing Houston to do it. HG5

It would be probably more interesting if it doesn't, to be honest. It's standard practice, if it doesn't happen it's because they know they're in the wrong. If he doesn't attack and doesn't resign, what does that tell you? (It probably tells you nothing, but he has followers who can't see past him). Not as a director, particularly one who stood on independence. He definitely should have withdrawn from any contact with the club as a C1872 rep, almost definitely resigned. He's damaged C1872, probably fatally. Well done to the three directors who resigned, principled People. Shame on those who didn't. He's certainly killed it from my perspective. Even in the event of that being the case, it was still known before the elections, if Club 1872 members were happy with that situation and him representing them, then fair enough (and I didn't vote for him either). i just think this situation is a whole different kettle of fish. Popular Post Dunny_01 2,007
Its always been about individuals more interested in themselves than Rangers.....when you protest with banners with fan group logos bigger than the message your trying to get across shows that. Club 1872 was always doomed to disaster, I refused to join that or any other '' Fan group' when my late gran and papas contributions to the RFFF all disappeared and there donations to the club never got there. Time to go back to being a RANGERS SUPPORT, we never needed fan groups for over 100 years and dont need them now !
