Last season was successful up to the semi-final, from the final whistle in that game things went downhill. By his own statement this season is a failure as he was getting beat for second. What does he mean some of the fans are magnificent? Is it the ones with higher expectations that he had a problem with? Sounds like it.

An expected success in winning the Championship followed by a progressive accelerating failing.  A failing which was increasingly obvious to more and more people.    A growing failing that became sufficiently obvious to Warburton himself and the 2 others.   Disgraceful really that they had decided to engineer their exit in the way they did and then the Club finds itself in a world where it claims they resigned and they claim they didn't (or un-resigned as King put it).

Measuring 'success' is relative though.  It can mean whatever you choose it to mean.   Warburton may conveniently set aside the seemingly devious exit actions which they may view as successful as it got them out of Ibrox and into Forest where they determined they wanted to be.   But imo these are the sorts of unprofessional actions that are testament to those whose approach is more mercenary for their own purposes than loyal to the Club and Support.

Rangers did not get compensation from Forest.   Maybe the Club should be seeking compensation.  Did Warburton break the terms of his contract?   If he did then maybe the Club should also be looking at its options for dealing with breaches of contract.

If our last manager thinks he was a successful manager, then let's compare how the players played in his last games and how they played in the first game under our new manager. So, Mark, is Pedro the best manager in history? Because their style, hunger and methods not to mention preparation, homework on the opposition and general readiness are night and day.

If he'd said 'we made good progress', then yes.

Success? No.

Oh and successful managers don't sneak out, flirting with other jobs but they go out on a high.

Better than Ally? Definitely. But he is not a benchmark at our club.

"some of the Rangers fans are magnificent"

Some?

Is that warbish for "the ones who didn't criticise me"?

He truly is an absolute cunt who has no idea as to our heritage or the pain we have all endured for the last 5 years.  Never a Ranger.

To any Forest fans lurking.... You have my sympathies, he will sail you up shit creek because he doesn't want to utilise the perfectly good paddle by his side as it isn't the shape he prefers.

Left Brentford after a year and a half, left us after a year and a half.  Maybe a year and a half is the point when he gets found out.

He was found out much sooner than that here, just took him 12months to actually leave.

He got us back to spfl and Scottish cup final still good achievement. I admit did shit since semi final last season.

With budget he had getting that team promoted should have been a given. The real test was this season. And he failed miserably

Looking back, we should never have lost the cup final against hibs, that was the beginning of the end.

We were so sloppy at the back under warburton.  I was one of the ones who defended him and was actually pretty raging when he left.

I do not disagree on that he failed big time this season. He did well in championship but spfl he was pure shit. Job was to big for him.

"Warburton also thinks some of the club's support struggled to accept that they weren't challenging Celtic for the title and instead were battling Aberdeen to finish best of the rest".

Struggling to accept? Well when he was asked at the start of the season if we could win the league he said we'd be "challenging".

He was right, it was very challenging!
