old firm game in kyoto

Hi Bears,

I will be in Kyoto during the upcoming old firm game and was wondering if anyone knew of any pubs etc that would be showing this. I tried one place and they said the sky football licence in Japan doesn't include SPL games. I know it's a long shot

It was apparently also selected to be one of the two recipients of the atomic bombs dropped on Japan during WW2. However it was then considered to be too culturally important and they selected Nagasaki instead. How sad is that. Your fate determined by the amount of important and prob wealthy history you have. It is a beautiful place. More useless info.

Its still the former capital. It was the capital until the Emperor moved in 1869 following the fire of 1965. Its now the Imperial City (Emeritus) of Kyoto.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki were selected because Mitsubishi heavy industries, shipbuilders and armaments/military vehicles were produced in those two cities.  Once they couldn't build weapons they were definitely stuffed, even if they wanted to carry on or not.
