Higuain and Aguero ffs. That's what's wrong with us nowadays, no ambition.

We should use the money it would cost to buy those 2 to make a bid for Dembele.

We need some versatility men in there. Forget Higuain, Ali and Augero and give St Johnstone a phone for Murray Davidson.

A couldn't fault Halliday, out our midfielders in the first half a thought he was doing ok. He's shite, but I can't see us getting much many better players to get rid of him.

What game were you watching?

Seen a few praising him for being the only player to put in a challenge!!

The challenge on Roberts was cowardly and stupid. Puts in a sliding challenge that is never going to win the ball and could and probably should have seen us down to 10 men early on.

Hes so far off the pace of the game it is criminal.

Roberts rode the challenge well, Had his feet been grounded im sure you could imagine the damage, But of course to you it was cowardly and no chance of a bad challenge.

Would you still have thought it was a great tackle if halliday had been sent off?

The challenge did fuck all, Roberts was able to carry on as if nothing had happened. Took Halliday out the rest of the game though

If he had have ran back they probably wouldnt have scored their first. The mad challenge and generally just not being seen were some other points from his time on the pitch yesterday. If he makes the squad next week I will be shocked.

ok im here in new zealand, watched this with our 3 lovely boys & what i dont get is how we were not up for this from the kick off, we sat back & said play

Cause we played 4-3-3 which we have consistently proven we are not capable of. Playing 3 CFs made it worse than usual. However thats all down to the manager.

Not everyone was too downhearted at the final whistle yesterday. Near us (B7) there were blokes clapping the team at the end. What standards are they accepting these days? How far have their expectations fallen? Nothing less than 100% effort is required for the entire 90 mins and we didn't get that. Couldn't pass to a teammate for 2 or 3 passes. Continually gave away possession. Could hardly hit the target. And that run where Waghorn was in acres of space but ran it out over the goal line summed up this Rangers team.

So just what the fuck were you cunts clapping at the end? No one should be accepting performances as poor as this, and players like Halliday, Waghorn etc just don't have it.

There was fuck all midfield yesterday, just a big hole where it should've been but in saying that none of what occurred in that debacle was Andy Halliday's fault ! image.gif.70b44c7d4ea6e33474f4c6fb7fb4b0dc.gif

Apart from the fact it was his man who scored the first goal, as he didn't track back and decided to jog back. He had a 5-10 yard start on McGregor

Our team had surrendered before they went on that park, no one player was to blame, the blame lies at the top! We are in a desperate position all round !image.gif.cf3db6b04189e809ec06d5e4a72fa731.gif

Sadly you're right Blue, from the first minute yesterday I knew we were going to lose. It's soul destroying that we can all see it.

Club needs gutting from the very top, think we are in for a few lean years like the tarriers had in the 90s...

Not even for when he was jogging back as Dembelle cut the ball back to mcgregor to sidefoot it in from the edge of the box?

Was dembelle his man? The fact we lined up 3 in midfield against celtics 5 , you can't really blame Halliday for no picking up a centre forward.

i didn't say he should have been marking dembelle. I said he was jogging back as dembelle cut it back. He should have been going full pelt to try and get back. not casually jogging. It's not the first time either. Too many times he is caught out and appears to make little effort to track back. The midfield were taken right out of the move with the ball over the top and barely made any attempt to get back to help. He just isn't good enough and it regularly shows.

Your fishing arent you ? He ISnt a young boy and should be more controlled IN how he goes about things not diving IN to tackles that never needed to be made, ushering opponents INto corners or dead ends are sometimes more effective.  Our  set up never helped our cause as we were over run wide and our fullbacks were left unprotected  , the midfield let the 1st half go by them and looked not 2nd to the 2nd ball never mind winning the first.
