MURRAY MINTED Former Rangers owner David Murray back on Scotland’s rich list with £150million fortune The tycoon's profits have rocketed since he flogged the Ibrox club for just £1 back in 2011. SIR David Murray’s fortune has rocketed to £150million since he flogged Rangers. The tycoon, who sold the Ibrox club for £1, is ranked 53rd wealthiest in Scotland, according to the Sunday Times Rich List. His Murray Capital Group saw profits soar to £17.7million in 2015 and boasts £51million in assets, including two French vineyards. The company is said to be worth £130million, with Sir David, 65, having £20million in other interests — making him 748th among the UK’s most affluent families. It marks the businessman’s first appearance in the list since 2010, when his estimated fortune fell from £500million to £110million. That plunge came as both Gers and his Murray International Holdings empire ran into money troubles. Sir David handed over ownership of the Light Blues to Craig Whyte in 2011. A year later the club went bust and were thrown out of the Premier League. Meanwhile Sir David set up Murray Capital Group, which bought property and metals assets from MIH before it was liquidated last year with bank debts of £200million. Davhow 91
So he's rich, he buys Rangers. Then he's skint and sells rangers. Now he's rich. Pattern?

Tenerife Bear 1,748
£150m fortune isnt enough to run a club like Rangers and take us forward same as Brian Kennedys £250m fortune wasn't enough on his own either. And of course Dave Kings bag of 1s and 2s isn't enough. It's not a sugar daddy we need but it is a man with clout and real power . Murray is hated and King is a joke figure. They don't get on and with a huge rift already in the boardroom it won't be fractured more. Murray's washed his hands of us years ago. That relationship is over for good. five stars 1,767
His behavior has been a disgrace. He sold us down the river. He liquidated his company Murray International leaving over 200 million in debts. He bought back the worthwhile assets of Murray International and put then into his new company Murray Capitol. Think Philip Green like character on a smaller scale. He should of been banned from being a director. I doubt it's anything to do with the EBT ruling. Which will have little to no effect on him either way.

Aw poor guy, had half a billion then spunked it all away and only had £110 million. Hate it when that happens.

PromDeAnglais 6,765
That is some business plan by the way. "Fuck my company is going bankrupt with 200 million pounds debt". Let's set up a new company, purchase anything worth value from my now bankrupt company, liquidate that and start afresh. Fuck the people who'll lose their livelihoods, employees, suppliers etc. A slight irony with Rangers but our hand was forced by HMRC - over debts yet to be legally proven It seems we've been run by conmen for longer than I thought. Its actually short for "Limited Liability" - A limited liability company (LLC) is a corporate structure whereby the members of the company cannot be held personally liable for the company's debts or liabilities.
