WadeWilson 4,670
Rangers have now had as many managers since the turn of the millennium (17 years) as we have had for the rest of our combined managerial history (100 years). The club has become a laughing stock and a basket case and the failures who continue to stream through the revolving door to be paraded as instant-miracle-workers are our very own versions of Macari, Brady and Barnes. You have to feel sorry for younger fans and one can only hope they don't grow up to be quite as mentally deranged as Tims of that particular vintage. That said, I think that there are many Rangers fans who quite simply have been spoiled and therefore have developed a skewed sense of entitlement fused with a somewhat more troubling and tribal pseudo-superiority complex. Quite simply, football ebbs and flows in cycles and always has done. There is no escaping that fact. Unfortunately, most of the pain that the fans are currently reaping was sown by the very custodians of the club who were geed on to giddier heights at the time; self-inflicted wounds that are probably a lot deeper than some fans would care to admit... And yet for many the answer is still: "throw money at it and see if it will stick." Sky and the EPL has crippled Scottish football. THERE IS NO MONEY - no quick-stick fix. Until there is a feasible long-term strategy put in place, the status quo will continue ad infinitum. Now is the time to heed those supporters who want to actually support until the club gets back on a workable even-keel and not just those who merely want to brag about perceived superiority whilst dealing in increasingly befuddled records and ever-decreasing achievements. Sometimes the truth can hurt... But it's high time somebody told it because it is the illusion that can kill.

baltic_blue 108
The worry is that people will accept mediocrity. Especially the younger fans. As soon as that happens then we are finished. While some older fans may be spoiled there are also some who remember the bad times although this eclipses those times by some. Football does come in cycles but I don't think it's a sense of entitlement or a superiority complex to believe we should be putting up more of a challenge. We have 50 thousand every second week and we have a team that wouldn't look out of place playing in front of 2 thousand. We should be able to spend a decent amount of money to put up a challenge and not be worrying if we will be able to finish in a European place in the league. There is something seriously wrong and if it continues we will be left behind for many years to come.

j1mgg 3,766
I will get Houston, Graham, and Dingwall onto it, it is all about Rangers after all, and not about their pal King.
cr3_bear 14,857
We will never be as deranged as the tims . Reason being we accept that our current season is our own faults and undoing . We won't be blaming refs with an agenda , we compare our standards to that of previous rangers teams , some of them great team whereas some where just well organised , hard to beat and professional and can sadly see that we are miles away from both scenarios at the moment. SeparateEntityMyArse 53,721
Their friends call them "Tims". I don't know what your point is other than we deserve better but shouldn’t have lofty expectations as the money's not there and we could go bust if we overspend. Or similar.
