Then they were raging that the SFL teams got a TV deal and tried to threaten them with court action for a percentage; instead the leagues merged, playoffs returned to the top flight etc and Lawell got the credit. (SFL fucked that reconstruction too, in my view, as the SPL weren't going to be successful in any legal action over our involvement in the TV coverage.)
