The former Accrington Stanley player was sent on loan to Scunthorpe in English League One by former boss Mark Warburton in a bid to get him game time. Matt Crooks has enjoyed a successful loan stint at the League One club Crooks had failed to make an impact at Ibrox after an ankle injury kept him out for a large chunk of the season. But he picked up a knee knock against Bolton Wanderers in April and returned to Ibrox. However, former Scotland defender Alexander is still hoping to sign Crooks again either on loan or on a permanent deal. Even going back a good few years, the amount of times we'd pay up a players contract or "mutually terminate" it, only for said player to sign for another club days later...was a total joke.
