English overinflated prices

Pickford moving to Everton for 30 million. He's not even England's number one. Huge potential but not worth that sort of price. If he's worth that how much would Manuel Neuer be worth if he was English?

Will be interesting to see how he performs with a better defence in front of him.

He made some good saves last season but was still part of a defence that was relegated with games to spare.

Typical overhype is following him because he's home-grown.

dont think its over hype tbh, if anything the english media are highly critical of their keepers, think pickford deserves the hype as well given he was at one point keeping sunderland in the EPL himself when defoes goals dried up

Yet we wax lyrical about Joe Hart. Who IMHO just isn't a top class keeper.

Wasn't Butland supposed to be the next Shilton?  Now he's a walking injury at Stoke and rarely gets mentioned these days.

Think it's hard to judge how good Pickford is at the moment given how poor Sunderland were last season.

As already mentioned if he's a mainstay in their team for 10+ years £30m may turn out to be a bargain.  And if he's exceptional Man Utd or City will pay double that for him.

Tbf to Butland it's been one big injury that's kept him out for so long and he was looking brilliant before that.

On Talksport today media guy says Sky and BT are struggling for new customers and that kodi streaming is mainly responsible. Im never paying them £50 for sky sports to support inflated wages. They could easily pay everyone less and lower subscription charges across the board.

The fee includes add ons, apparently it's initially 18m which is still a lot but if they keep him for 10 years (he's only 23) and he performs as expected then it will be a reasonable fee.

Think it's a bit more than that initially but yeah principle remains the same , prices are crazy though but it's the market .

Sky even think about paying less to the Premier League then it's all over for them. BT don't care about subscription prices or Kodi as much as their Broadband is what makes them the big bucks. Once BT outbid Sky for the TV rights then it's adious Sky. It's the companies that use Broadband that will get more powerful, satellite TV will soon be extinct.
