Tom0411 1,226
Picked this pic up off another site and looking at it didn't realise that wee Bud was a member of the Ritchie Shearer Caldow etc. team/pool.
MelbourneBlue 198
I remember having that picture on my wall when I was about 9 or 10. What a team.

Deanzmeanzheinz 4,312
Yep, wee bud broke into the first team around 1965 as an out and out left winger. Played in the 1966 cup final and it was his cross that resulted in Kai Johansen's winner. Think he was only 18-19 yrs old at that point. Playing off a main striker was his best position though - scored so many vital goals for us. Only negative was Jock Stein had a knack of nullifying wee Bud in old firm games

harlands plater 16,933
Now that's a real Rangers team in a real Rangers strip at a real Ibrox Stadium.

Cause you are such a cheery cunt who lives life with such high levels of optimism. As for the OP, the quintessential Rangers team in the quintessential Rangers strip. Turnberry18 3,204
That would have been some team to watch. Perhaps the best ever Rangers 11?
Buggleskelly 3,772
Wee Bud was in Las Vegas last week at the convention. I had a wee chat with him & photos etc. He was in great form & seemed to be having a good time. Bumped into him again on the strip a couple of days later. He was a brilliant player for us , he really was. When he left us for West Brom , who were a fantastic team back then , he got even better in my opinion. All the bigger English teams were always linked with buying him & I think it was juventus who were tracking him at one stage. Great player & a Rangers legend in my opinion. Orange Persson 541
Yes he was great while at West Brom...rejuvenated in fact. As a Scotland player then, he was real International Class and unplayable at times.
Trooblue 1,959
Fastest player I've ever seen. The way he used to kick the ball past the full back, give the guy a start of several yards, and absolutely skin him.

Wee Bud 141
Thought Govan Blue was after me for money when I saw the heading, loved going to Ibrox as a youngster to see that team, when Bud was on his game he was unstoppable.

Tom0411 1,226
He used to stop the ball facing the fullback tell him he would count to 3 then hit the ball past him and the defenders still couldn't beat him.
