SUPPORTERS will appreciate that, in advance of last week’s successful conclusion of new commercial arrangements between Rangers and Sports Direct, demand for replica shirts and other products was low as a result of the boycott.

Accordingly only limited amounts of stock were immediately available and we understand that the vast majority of what was available has already been sold. Unfortunately this means that we are not anticipating any further deliveries of Replica kit to the Megastore in advance of Thursday’s game.

Rangers are liaising with PUMA on the production and sale of new batches of replica kit but this will unfortunately take some time to produce. We are currently working with our partners to ascertain what can be achieved and will let supporters know as soon as we have reliable dates.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank our supporters for their revived interest in the Club’s retail products.

We underestimated the demand which has been like Black Friday for fans who have been starved of buying Club Merchandise.

Ashley needs to be cracking the whip at his sweatshops because an age 14 top is never going to fit me.

This is disappointing ... but probably there are templates for last seasons strip ... making it an easier alternative to a new replica strip.

I doubt that the next batch will be sold at the same price as was in the store though ... (£20 quid) ... making it doubly disappointing.

Fuckin comical , none of that board could run a market stall .

Yeah we should have had s big stash somewhere that wasn't selling due to a boycott, gathering dust until a contractual issue ( thattook 2 years to resolve) got sorted. That would have been a sound business model.

Rumours that we don't get as much of a percentage unless it's from the megastore.

We definitely won't. We still get some cash, and there are no other costs associated with it, so tbh it probably won't be that much different from our own retail figures after all is said and done.

Can't the megastore just sell the Lionbrand stuff in the meantime?

Yeah. All that work the 12 year olds have done working in sauna conditions for a few grains of old rice should not go to waste!

Not great from the club being caught out like this. Maybe last seasons tops have been moth damaged or something, hence why we need to produce 'new' old tops? Don't know.

Just rambling now

But but but the tarriers say this deal is only in place to sell a big warehouse full of old kit. Rangers are clearly lying here!

I read something kinda similar on here

How so?

Sold out last Thursday, liaison officer on twitter saying more in on Friday but not on shelves until Saturday, didn't happen, liaison officer then said delivery on Tuesday. I was in a SD shop trying to get one on Saturday was told sold out weren't getting any more, was  told in the shop about the delivery to Megastore on Saturday but told not to get my hopes up as it was a no go - as I said - shambles

Some people love a good moan on this forum calling The board a shambles for lack of stock?....... let's say for example the board ordered an extra 20000 shirts to sell before new contract was signed then we would have plenty in stock right ?..... let's say after doing so SD pulled out the deal at the last minute now we are left with another 20000 taps we canny sell then people would say the board are a shambles not waiting for the deal to be signed ! .....canny win with some folk ffs:duh:
