Here's 8 since 2007. Not sure why you'd include the post meltdown years as we've not been capable of signing a ÂŁ2million player.

StevenDavis

Pedro Mendes

Barry Ferguson

Brahim Hemdani

Charlie Adam

Da Marcus Beasley

Vladimir Weiss

Thomas Buffel

Beasley ?

One thing was telling in what Thomson said he mentioned that last year we were bullied a bit as we were like wee boys this year he said we would cope with the physical games better.

I certainly hope so.. thought it was one of the differences when we played them, they bullied us all over the park.

Thomson was a very good player for us, and if circumstances had been different may well have gone on and been captain. He's a very level headed guy who hopefully proves to be a successful coach; and young players could learn a lot from him, because injuries aside he was a first class professional who could have lasted a lot longer in the game.

First up, his game commentary was spot on. The few times he has been on as a guest he has called it down the middle.

Second his comment re Dorrans booking was correct. Thompson is a shite.

Third when he played for us he was a no nonsense type of midfielder we would have crawled over broken glass to sign over the last five years.

Maybe not the flair of Niko but the opposition knew he was there all game.

A very underrated player for us. Done the dirty work and maybe at times flew into rash tackles but could make it work. Always fought and in the long run it took his toll which is a shame. Was twice the tackler and 10 times the footballer that that piece of shit Brown will ever hope to be. A respected coach now and a pretty good commentator too.

Whatever arse-licking shite he came away with in commentary doesn't disguise what a crushingly average footballer he was. Painfully, annoyingly average. Flew into tackles that harmed him and the team in an effort to be believed. Now retired aged 32.

What a load of utter shite.

I'll take Walter's opinion on a player over this taigy cunts every time.

If it wasn't for the injury at rugby park, KT would've been the Rangers captain. Easily.

Not sure that someone who, when injured, preferred not to go to give support to his then  current team in an old firm match because "I wanted to go to support hmy team" later that afternoon should have even been thought of as captain material for Rangers.

Definitely a good player.

Fuck knows why some people berate players for not being devoted fans when players. It's a different mindset and should not be held against them IMHO.
